Scorched and it's Design

It makes sense for the design to be more monster-like since this xeno is not coming from the eggs on the derelict. If the Big Chap on this movie is the 1:1 copy of the original movie than I'll have no complaints about the design. I just hope this movie makes the right amount of money for Disney to put the Alien franchise on map again (and maybe let Sir Ridley finish his prequels)

The Romulus alien will probably be more aggressive/spectacular than Big Chap was in Alien. Makes sense that he looks more like that.

I hope they don't screw it up, but people may want to put their own stamp on Giger's classic creature design - even if it's supposed to be an exact replica. I hope it is a faithful 1:1 copy of the original Alien.

Mike confirmed this one's a digitgrade.

Seems like i got my digitigrade legs.

I remember me posting and commenting a lot about how much i wanted these types of legs in Romulus.

That discussion turned into quite the shitshow.

I prefer plantigrade, but digitgrade is ok.

is the difference beteen the two is that digitgrade has a longer foot and the extra joint is the heel? Arent people technically digitgrades when we run barefoot?

There's no extra joint. Digitigrade just have very long feet and walk on the balls of their feet. Plantigrade walks heel to toe.

Don't humans naturally run on the balls of our feet, and only started running heel to toe because of shoes. I know if I'm outside running barefoot I run on my tiptoes.

I heard that as well but I can't find any hard evidence of it.

I naturally do both but balls of the feet feel better and more ideal for sprinting and heel to toe is nice during long marathons because it stretches out the calf for me and also takes some pressure off the front foot and calf muscle after running like that for a while.

But I could see either or being utilized in places like Ancient Greece depending on the circumstance

I like Scorched's design for sure. It was biomechanical, had a distinctive scar to identify it but I was not a fan of the legs. I don't think they should have those digitigrade legs unleass they come from a host that has it.

Scorched was under utilized too in my opinion. Should have had more presence and been the final threat instead of the offspring.
