Yeah, you'd have to build a movie around that kind of tension, and hold onto it.

The Predator in this hypothetical scenario also can't suddenly develop brain worms. It has to be cunning, intelligent, and depicted as more than just a big slasher beast. Unfortunately, a weakness that Prey, The Predator, and Predators all share. (We never see any of these guys taking a second to patch up after a fight, for one. One of the key things that sets them apart from an animalistic brute.)

There's a scene where Feral heals himself in Prey.

I should have been more specific in that regard. In the case of Prey, he doesn't treat taking massive injury as seriously as Anytime and City Hunter did, is what I was getting at. He seems to tank damage rather foolishly.

Oh yeah I agree he's a f**king bullet sponge that f**ker.

There's a cool moment in South China Sea where the Predator just starts throwing the heads of his various kills into a compound where some survivors are trying to barricade up. I always loved the Predator in that book, it really lent into the sadistic side of the Predator that I love.

That's the way I saw it too. The reveal of Jim Hoppers team used to scare the hell out of me as a kid.

Yeah, see that I like. Taunting and provocation are a major part of the original film and I feel are often overlooked which leans into the horror genre, this superior and almost supernatural overwhelming presence.

More horror please.  Dumbing down Predator and Terminator for family audiences ruined them.

I would love to see Predators use terror tactics a whole lot more. Lean more on the tribal aspects to create fear and confusion on the enemy.

That would be a good way to portray the creature
