ALIEN FAN FILM - ACHERON Teaser Trailer (Aliens Sequel Short Film)

So this is an animation film correct? Fully CGI no actual actors involved?

No Mate, filmed actor (myself) playing different roles, matte paintings, and some CGI (I'm not very good at 3D)

I was expecting this to be the case as I watching, but wasn't expecting you to weave it into the story, so I really enjoyed that.

Well they are 'Clone Bros' kinda like the Clone Troopers of Star Wars Animated Series, they are NOT the alien universe androids like Ash or Bishop or David... they are actually 'Blade Runner' Replicants, One is a Nexus 7 and the other two are Nexus 8's, and just like that universe they are treated rather badly 'Replicants were used Off-world as slave labor, in the hazardous exploration and colonization of other planets', incase you didnt notice, the end phone call... Thats the Tyrell Corporation logo

Congrats though, bud! I thought it turned out really well.

Yeah I remember reading Ridley Scott discussing the difference between Alien Androids, made of materials, chemicals, bolts and wires built in a factory etc.. And Blade Runner Replicants being made of flesh, bone and blood and are grown androids.

My theory on this fan film


Ripley, newt, and hicks were stolen by the Tyrell corporation from the Sulaco as it was drifting off into deep space

Placing replicants in their place and giving the Sulaco surivors new names and lives while the replicants are presumed dead on fury 161

This is to keep them in their back pocket until the time is needed when they can be useful to the Tyrell Corporation's interests

They send replicants to the derelict which has come with unforeseen hurdles and setbacks as they are attacked by trio of queens

The time to use their assets is now and they make them very well aware they came to collect on the debt they owe for saving them from eternal sleep

There is an ambiguity as to whether or not the Sulaco's survivors are also replicants that remains unresolved to capture the essence of blade runner
