You might have to up your game and do a deep-dive into the newer lore.

The best things about 40k are the aesthetics and the lore.

Lore is a messy concept with 40k. The broad strokes are fascinating but the specifics/sources often disappoint.

I'll agree the aesthetics carry it though.

I finally got my hands on a tenth addition ultimate starter kit. SOOOOOO EXPENSIVE BUT GLORIOUS

I've also finally begun the Horus Heresy book series. Halfway through book one and I'm hooked

It's just knowing what is to come that hurts more

I've also started writing a story involving a Rogue Trader, an Aeldari, an Astrates and an Ork trying to escape Commoragh during a chaos incursion caused by the Great Rift. It's a complete rip off of Firefly, but it's been fun planning it out.

On a more serious writing note, I'm developing a story involving loyal Thousand Sons coming out of the Warp during the Great Rift. The last thing they remember is helping civilians flee Prospero during the burning of Prospero. They are found by the remaining survivors of a Primaris Marine chapter, wrongly accused and purged of heresy by a chaos corrupted Inquisitor. The Thousand Sons and the Primaris join forces to survive, hunting down the Inquisitor, but also the Thousand Sons Captain tries to find a way to confront Magnus to learn what has happened to his Primarch and his brothers

Won't you be able to get the minis (and cigarettes) at far more reasonable prices soon?

Well we'll see. There'll be visits aplenty but with everything we both have going on, relocating full time is still being juggled.
