im not so sure... but i would think that the delay could be a bad thing for this movie... not the december 25th, but the delay in other countries... for example...
I did a poll while ago, asking for the stats at the Simpsons movie... well... it turn out it had a 3 day delay, only a three day delay.... and that was worth to losing 53% of the public who actually watch it on their houses with more people. the rest wen to the movie theaters... but for example in my case i went to see it also in the theater with only other 7 people (uncluding the two of us), the other had it in half the room or less.... and yeah they watch it on wensdays (2x1)...
Also another bad thing is that a lot of people where put in shame for inviting family, friends and relatives to watch avp.... so alot of people think this movie is really going to suck as the first one... there for: they are not willing to wait to buy a ticket (way more than 3 days) if they can watch it at home...
if youd ask me... I might tell you fox merchandising people aint doing their research work right.
Remember IMDB states that Singapore will be released at the same date at Christmas? Well, that's set to change. It will be released at 1 January 2008

Well, Norway has two dates now. January 18 and the previous 25th. ???
YES!! Only 20 more days till I can watch AvPR on pirate! AvPR comes out in the USA on the 25th of December but on January 18th in the UK (Where I am) that's why I'm gonna have to watch it on piarte. YIPPEE! :) ;)
I have to wait until January 31 but i will not download it in Pirate. Im a PRedator and Alien fan and im respect the directors and they work. (Im waiting for this movie since 2004. I see AVPR through from the beginning) Anyway nothing can match with the experience what the movie can give you! Watch AvPR in shit quality?( plus the movie will dark. You will see nothing.) No way!
Well I learned that I made an error thinking that the date was changed but wasn't so Instead of January 18 it's December 25. I go on 26th because I would never skip Christmas.
Today's Herald-Sun says December 26, as does the Village website.
I'd say it's a typo on the Hoyts site as any releases around that time are always on Boxing Day.

It's coming don't you worry. If you didn't know U.S.A usally means Canada as well and if that dosn't help well I saw the trailer on T.V and it's coming Dec 25 and the point is I live around Lake Simcoe which is in Ontario and if there showing the trailer in Canada then it's coming.

Well... sometimes clones are better than the originals... take for example japanesse clone version of FF7ac... the the crappy FF7ac original 2disc american version (not so shure if the colectors box set is the same).

Cant believe I need to wait until the 18th of January to see this. Im guessing it's because I Am Legend is released on the 26th, so there would be big competition. But Cloverfield is released on Janurary 18th, so there will be competition then to. It just suck's having to wait so long, and stay offline for a few weeks to stop any sopilers.

Just watched it here opening day in Korea, with my brother. We both really enjoyed it. I don't know what everyone is complaining about--it gave us...surprise....Aliens vs Predators ...and I loved it! :D
btw- the characters weren't as bad and people were making them out to be, their storylines were interesting imo. Some scenes were too short and not expanded upon enough and some fight scenes could've been more creative (I liked the sewers and the power plant)
Great movie overall....here's hoping to AvP3!
