Never seen Fargo..

What about Legion?

Spoiler
The TV show, not the Paul Bettany movie.

Have not seen it either, but it looks intriguing.

I'm behind on shows.

I heard mostly good things about both but I lack time these days.

Now that's more like it. I really liked Dredd and Sunshine. Also love 28 days later obviously.

Let's not forget Alex Garland de facto directed Dredd (original director Pete Travis was let go in post-production) and also did a screenplay for Sunshine, one of the best modern sci-fi movies ❤️.

Don't get me wrong, that's a really good movie from a visual standpoint. Actors are great, and the underlying story is interesting.

But I really didn't like the treatment of that story. Doing weirder and weirder shit for the sake of it didn't get me anywhere.

Men's the best Silent Hill movie we're likely ever going to get.

I really wonder how different the response to that movie might have been if it released with a different title?

Quote from: NoStyleDutch on Mar 28, 2024, 12:47:52 AMI'd love to see Alex garland make a predator or alien movie.

I said it earlier today in another thread, but I really do think Garland make a good Alien movie. The pieces are all there trickled throughout his work – Annihilation's eldritch, cosmic leanings, Men's sexually-oriented brand of body horror, Ex Machina and Devs' exploration of artificial intelligence...

This is also what makes me think he could be one of the very few that could be trusted to handle a The Thing film.

And the special effects? They're so outlandishly surreal, you can't help but wonder if the production team was on a different plane of existence. It's like a fever dream of colors and shapes, where you can't tell up from down, or past from present.

 Enjoy!

Cheers!

That makes me want to see this 8)

Annihaltion is a fantastic movie! It's the closest a movies ever came to making me feel like I'm in a nightmare!

I'd love to see Alex garland make a predator or alien movie.
