Run time of AvP

Here in Australia I was watching the original cut on DVD, and it's like 84 minutes. I don't ever remember it being that short. On imdb it's run time is over 100. What scenes am I not seeing??

I can't remember if you guys use PAL, but I'd wager you do.
You're not missing anything, if that's the case. American DVDs are at 29.97fps, and UK (and I'm guessing Aussie) DVDs are at 25fps.

84 minutes / 25 frames X 29.97 frames = 100.6992 minutes.

It's just the DVD encoding. You don't get that on blu ray or higher, because the technology used is more consistent. It's a hangover from the old analogue TV days.

I had a look at my PAL copies - DVD (with extra stuff like the 1904 opening) is 1:44:14.  Blu-ray (theatrical) is 1:40:47.  Both versions have 12 minutes worth of credits.

I suspect Stitch is right with the frame rates, but the boxes for each say 96 minutes and 101 minutes respectively.  Go figure.
