My copy of Alien Resurrection is starting to have some issues, Alien 3 too but at least with that one it's just the odd audio glitches.

When I watch the special edition, parts of the theatrical opening credits are in the special version and also at the end, it cuts off part of the dialogue and the shot of Paris and just goes straight to the credits, it's annoying but not too bad, I guess I'll have to face the fact that one day I might put it in the DVD player and it'll say :"No Disc".

Ummm I hate to disappoint but I didn't even know you had half of these  so you're asking the wrong person! All I know is you probably have multiple copies of the same movie, just because one has a red sticker on it and another has a yellow sticker on it and maybe the colour has a slightly different hue

I owned an ex-rental ALIEN Betamax, in 1985. It was in excellent condition. I had it up to the middle of 1994, when it got chewed up in a friend's VCR.

I wish I still had it; it used an earlier soundtrack. Dallas's line: "Good morning, Mother." wasn't Tom Skerritt's, but someone else's - perhaps Ridley Scott's?

The back cover of the tape had a pic of the Narcissus shuttle (Cobb's painting) and a BTS pic of Sigourney / Ripley and Ridley Scott on the ship's bridge (which I originally thought was Dallas!).

I only have three ALIEN Laserdiscs:

1992 single platter panned & scanned.

1992 Special Widescreen Collector's Edition boxed set (with the deleted scenes).

1995 single platter with an earlier soundtrack (different sound effects and cues, etc).

I do have the Foxtel South Australian original transmissions (in widescreen and panned & scanned) for the ALIEN DC, from 2004(?), and two free-to-air off-airs.

Also own the Special Widescreen Collector's Edition for ALIENS (boxed set).

All my VHS tapes are long gone. Had loads of stuff once.

I owned an ex-rental ALIEN Betamax, in 1985. It was in excellent condition. I had it up to the middle of 1994, when it got chewed up in a friend's VCR.

I wish I still had it; it used an earlier soundtrack. Dallas's line: "Good morning, Mother." wasn't Tom Skerritt's, but someone else's - perhaps Ridley Scott's?

The back cover of the tape had a pic of the Narcissus shuttle (Cobb's painting) and a BTS pic of Sigourney / Ripley and Ridley Scott on the ship's bridge (which I originally thought was Dallas!).

I only have three ALIEN Laserdiscs:

1992 single platter panned & scanned.

1992 Special Widescreen Collector's Edition boxed set (with the deleted scenes).

1995 single platter with an earlier soundtrack (different sound effects and cues, etc).

I do have the Foxtel South Australian original transmissions (in widescreen and panned & scanned) for the ALIEN DC, from 2004(?), and two free-to-air off-airs.

Also own the Special Widescreen Collector's Edition for ALIENS (boxed set).

All my VHS tapes are long gone. Had loads of stuff once.

I'm from South Australia. I got it from a video library not far from the Parabanks shopping centre, in 1985. It cost me $29.99c. It was an ex-rental copy, but in excellent condition; flawless playback. Absolutely no tape damage. The tape was PAL format.

It was panned & scanned. There was nothing special about the release - except for the audio. I wish I still had it. It had the classic egg (with the netting) poster on the cover.
