There’s a few new scenes. Shot of an alien in the sewer, a different (?) Predator ship coming to Earth, the scene involving the Chestburster emerging out of Scar and finally a shot of the Wolf Predator using his shoulder cannon against an alien. More pictures are on the next page.

Everything looks great! All these show great lighting, and looks like it will have a good feel to it!  12-25-2007 here we come!

looks good, only concern is the shot where the alien gets shot. Im not sure but it looks like the way the alien flies back that hes obviosuly on a pull real or suspension cable by the way he jurks and almost wiggles slightly side to side on his way backwards, also in one quick shot it looks as if you can actually possibly see the cable when hes just getting shot up by the pred...its up to the left

also it almost looks as if hes maybe double shooting the alien because the prior shot shows him loading up from the left shoulder cannon then it looks as if the shot actually comes from his right side...hmmm?

sorry but the movement of the predburster looks silly in this spot compared to..dare I say it...AVP's ending.  It looks like they put some sort of digital blood gyser and the puppet on a rod and just jammed up and through the chest. It looks so much more home-made

i think the burster is the same just diferant light and angle. and the alien being shot looked cgi.

The alien in the sewer at the very begining was brilliant,long have we suffered!!!! Maybe no longer!!!!!!   ;D  

The burster scene looked shite, even the one at the end of AvP looked better than that!

yeah... that was a little lame... probably will look better in the movie... they probably tried shooting a squirt gun of some sort and it just never looked quite right.

by "little lame" I was talking about the bursting scene... the rest looked like a lot of fun.  It's kind of crazy, the japanese seem really invested in this movie.

That is the worst TV spot/Trailer I have seen for this movie, it's dreadful. That Chestburster scene looks very cheap and tacky to say the least. I don't care what anyone says or whoever replies with a just as cheap and tacky insult, this movie is going to suck balls. You can already tell what type of people are going to love it no matter how bad it is and judging by half of the people that leave comments for these news items it's the little kiddies who will leave the cinema and say "WOOOOOOW that was such an awesome movie duuuuuude!" Yeah, like balls it will be!

Why does the chestburster look like a flower?

Wurz, what exactly is so bad about that tv spot?   From time, the Strause brothers have said that they want to take the franchise back to its roots, so there for at least around 80% of the stuff they are churning out are practical effects ( you, know in camera).   ???    I mean what about :   The lighting effects, I mean come one!! the level of hidden layers upon hidden layers of great particle effects can obivousily be seen, the brothers have done great here.  why are you judging so dame hard on this movie before its even had a chance to be screened properly?

I agree with Reaper, sorry to say, but the hybrid chestburster looks crap, the one in AVP looked much better, more dramatic, this one looks pathetic...

That Japanese voiceover guy is badass.    :D  

Duel Blade, I haven't seen or heard one decent thing about this movie since it was announced. I can list a whole bunch of things that are bad about it just by seeing and hearing what has been released up until now. You people are putting all your faith into a couple of nobody directors aswell as a cast of nobodys. You say how can I be so hard on it when it hasn't been screened properly? How can you say it's going to be the best thing since sliced bread when YOU haven't even seen the whole movie? You're going to get people who either hate it or love it. But believe me when I say I hope I will be proved wrong about the movie being crap because I really hope I will be.

Oh and just to answer your questions about lighting effects, layers and particle effects. I'm not interested in that, that type of thing doesn't make a good movie. The first AvP was eye candy but overall the movie was poorly written, badly directed and a cast of horrid actors (apart from Lance Henriksen).

ARIENS VERSUS PREDATAH TSU!

I haven't really heard things good or bad about this movie.  Unless you count the people over at IMDB.. but they hate everything.  Or the people that canned the movie before they even started shooting it.  There are people out there that simply have decided this movie will fail.  Should we assume it's going to be the best thing ever? No.  But should we assume it's going to be shit?  I don't think that's fair either.  I admit it's not going to be a brilliant piece of cinema.  It's just a fun movie.  Gore and action.  Quit hoping for the Citizen Kane of Alien and Predator movies, because not only has that never been, it won't ever be.  It's not hardcore sci fi, It's not Kubrik, it's a horror movie.  Just enjoy the ride.  Jeepers.

I think the only reason why the chestburster is not what a lot of people expected is: 1. there is a bunch of pred goop/blood all over it which makes it hard to see the detail on its skin. 2. the way the lighting is for that particular shot.   So it is the same one and I can't say anything else cause I have not actually seen it move.

You will be surprised Wurz    ;D   trust me my man you will be, have some faith bro.  As time passes by the aliens will no doubt become less scary ( WELL, at least the hardcore fans).  The directors. When Ridley made the first film WAS it a mistake for FOX to allow a person who first off hated sci-fi to be allowed to direct it. A fresh pair of eyes makes a heck of alot of difference.   The first AVP movie was I thought pretty cool, but seeing all these shots of exactly the ingredients of whats needed in a good blue type movie is vital.  If you go into the movie with a negative opinion about the movie well obivousily your going to feel robbed. These are first time directors tackling two franchises who I believe will restore your faith. You got to have faith bro, thats all    ;D

The opening shot of the Alien in the water really harkens back to Aliens...I love the way you see all that sinuous movement in the foreground.  The Strauses have a visual flair that, IMO, was lacking in AVP.  Wolf imperiously blowing away his attacker, again, great action.

Give the bros. a break they're doin the best they can with the low budget they have. if this movie is a success they should have better effects in the third one.(but lets not hope they pull off all the CG like in spiderman 3)

I agree, this is a good tv spot, not sure about the re-birth of the predalien but it should look good in the final cut, the wolf is a bad ass    >:D

i knoe hes dead, but he should at least bounce up and down like in avp............dead or not dead..........predator blood should still be glowing.............like in predator 1............the dry blood on ana's pants is still glowing.............no doubt it should still be glowing in avp r too, but this must be a mistake............

dat does kinda bother me a lil..............scar's blood is not glowing.................a predator's blood should never stop glowing........even when its dry.................since avp the predator's blood is never rite...........some scene the blood isnt even glowing......it just look like it is, cuz it is only a light green color.....................

I totally agree, for some reason they might do the A3 thing where it plays the creepy music and shows flashbacks. Instead the pred ship then the SULACO.

Wow! Apparently all of the angry nay-sayers aren't just posting on imdb. For you those of you that just want to whine and bitch, I suggest you change you tampons and have a drink. You'll feel much better and might possibly have a little fun too!  As for the spot, I think it was good. I LOVED the Alien emerging from the sewer! Yes, the chestburster looked a little funky coming out, but I highly doubt that's the finished product.

lol whenever we see bad special effects in this movie everyone says, "it's not the finished product."  i can't wait to see the excuses when the film is released with the exact same visual effects.

Predator lives in this movie because in the game he lives and it shows predator leaving and one scence in a new trailer i garentee it

I don´t like the predalienchestburster - it looks funny - but  not cool.  the avp  predalien chestburster had much more details - this one is chust brown and - i don´t know - maybe it would look beeter at trhe cinema

The movie is already too pro Predator. ____________  The pred-alien kills all the predators on the ship! and the wolf will most likely die at the end of the film, plus in AVP two predators got killed by one alien! So i think its only fair to make it the predator's turn, plus there is only one predator in this movie, so if the wolf dies at the start of the film what you going to watch, and the all aliens have to die because of continity.  The Wolf stills get beaten up in this movie because of the 'med-kit' scene the bros talked about plus, he is going to die at the end because of chet.  P.S love your name lol Not!    :D  

If the wolf die's at the end of the movie, thats fine with me beacause predator's always die at the end of the movie, but if the predator lives (maybe a bit too pro predator) I suppose that would be a twist    ;)  

Getting beaten up doesn't count for anything.  This is AvP, not Predator Kills Aliens.  Aliens need to kill Predators to make it balanced.  Too bad the Strauses are so biased that a Hive of Aliens can't kill a single Predator.  There should have been multiple Predators in this film.

The part when Ripley goes in herself and tries to find Newt, I think that is what they are talking about. The marines don't know what's coming at them. Only Ripley. So there for, the wolf knows what they are and knows there environment and has very good weapons. Easy for him.

Just because the wolf kills loads of aliens doesn't make this a predator movie. I mean, a bunch of predators get killed at the start of the movie and the pred-alien (chet) will kill the predator (the wolf) at the end of the film, so whats the problem, why are alien fans getting so unhappy?    :-\    I mean predators are a race of 'hunters' its what they do! Jesus christ you guys its just a movie.  What can the directors do when the script given to them has only 1 main predator... What do you want to see? A predator running around not killing any aliens? A predator hunting aliens and missing everyone of them?  Of course more aliens will die when theres only 1 predator.  "Chet" gets to kill a lot of predators in the beginning, So it kinda balences it out. The only reason why "Wolf" will kill alot of aliens is because he is the ONLY ONE!  The Strause bros made him out to be an "elite" predator because he is the only one.  You cant have a good movie when "Wolf" kills 1 or 2 aliens.  Just lighten up you guys. sheesh!

Man there are so many TV Spots on Spike TV i've seen two new ones. 1 has an awesome scene where an alien jumps on a marine it's so cool lookin.

I don't see that anyone going to survive wolf may nearly dead by chet's tail and chet maybe kill by wolf 's blade. if wolf live amd can go back then.Queen may go in the ship with wolf .The director say that they want AvP3 in space isn't it?

O.K.,listen up,the T.V. spot was good,yah it was'nt the greatest thing on earth,but for heavens sake it was better then what some of you people could come up with,and what do you people want?!"Show us more of the film!" so the directors do that,and what do they get? I got to see the box set with all seven A / P / AVP films in the store the other day,and heres my review for it:  All of the movies are just the same movies that one can already find in the store,UCE:AVP,CE:P1,EUCE ALIEN quadrilogy and from what i've read theres only about 1 or 2 more special features on the CE:P2 then on the SE:P2.They give you a comic book,but it'll probably come out in an omnibus soon.The figures are awful!.The pred mask is lop-sided,his shoulder cannon is too big,the armor looks like globules of plastic rather then like plate armor,all of the weapons were misshapen and you could see all of the seems!.The alien was too small compared to the pred,the head was so small that it made it look like one of those aliens from stargate atlantis,the blood was neon green and see-through,and the tale--rather then being slim,elegant and powerful--was big,bulky and really twisted,and you could also see all of the seems like for the pred,so the only thing they got right was the color!.The box was a simple cardbourd box,not a cool metal tin like for TERMINATOR2,TOTAL RECAL or KING-KONG.just cardbourd.And they were also giving you free tickets to see AVPR,but they only cover up to $7.50,but by the time the theaters lower they'er prices to that level the tickets whould have expired!.It seemed more like a bribe then a bonus!.The whole thing was $169.99.  DONT BUT IT!!!.

haha Amen Zen, far too many of us fall victum to commercialism. I bought the special edition of predator 1 about 2 years ago and bought it again last month just because of the cool Tin case it had been repackaged in.  What a tit!    :D  

The Aliens must kill the Predator.  Otherwise the whole film is just one big flaming Predator fanboy wankfest.

Guys this is just a movie.  We've seen the aliens with 4 movies on their own and 2 pred movies on their own and now its the second outing of the battle royale and you're already bagging it.  How about we make judgements after the movie is released because thats when we will be in full possession of the facts.    :)      ;D
