And there is no reference to a Predator invasion of Earth, that means The Predator will be officially removed from canon. Thoughts?

Did The Predator feature a predator invasion of earth? Not to my recollection

Maybe the IronPred suit is being interpreted that an invasion is imminent...?

I just thought it was something the first Predator sent help humans against the big bastard Predator(s).

the whole plot is about a Predator giving us a weapon to combat an invasion of autism-seeking predators...or something.

Exactly. At the end of the day, they could exist in the same universe (but otherwise are self-contained stories with no connection to the other) or one is canon and the other is not. Really doesn't matter a whole lot either way...

It won't, it would just be ignored.

"Autism seeking predators"

Never thought I would see that in a post here, ever, yet here we are!

Thanks Shane Black!

Don't forget the great Fred Dekker.

There are a lot of invasions in hisytory which were attempted and then don't happen or fail early on.

Some are even due to simple environmental issues.

Or, y'know, overestimating one's capabilities from arrogance (or underestimating the opponent)... Example: Putin.

Honestly, given what we saw from the supposed elite awesomeness of their supposed vanguard, I'm not sure we would have had much problem if they had attempted something (if being written realistically).

I'd prefer that it's all just due to Stargazer's incompetence in studying Predators and misinterpreting their goals. Love how Hunting Grounds reinforces this with Stargazer being made by various disgraced members of various military and scientific members of other organizations with directors being former arms manufacturers or lobbyists for arms deals, so there is wiggle room to just simply wipe this "invasion" under the rug.

Any potential "invasion" could be on the backburner due to the events of The Predator and the fact they got owned.  Again.
