I really love this guy's videos. Not sure about this one lol. I get what he's trying to say, but I don't necessarily agree with him. I can see how he sees the Predator as female from how he's reading the film though.

I feel even how he is reading it, his argument falls apart pretty quickly. Points like the Predator is careful and wears clothes are from a human perspective and I would argue are not gender coded attributes. Any means to sex the predator is conjecture because they are a literal alien. I'm inclined to believe the Predator is male because that's how the production team seemed characterize it, but assuming they come from a a sexually reproducing species the Predator could be equally male or female.

Anyways about the video, the movie makes it pretty clear that Anna survived because she wasn't armed and because she never directly was a treat to it, unlike Dutch who was constantly trying to kill it before he found himself unarmed.

Also, hunters generally don't like to hunt pregnant prey, so it as nothing to do with the gender of the predator.

You thinking of that one comic? I really like that one because it fully explains why predators are the way they are when we encounter them. But I don't think I'd like it as the official explanation, used in movies or anything.
