Nice! I wonder if there will be a discount or free "upgrade" for those who already own the VR version.

Wonder if it will get a physical

Doesn't say it will be a part of the VR version of the game. It's being reworked into a conventional first-person shooter. as a separate edition.

The Crawling Chaos

Great! I just don't have much interest in VR so this is welcome  8)

I Don't have credit for ps5 so looking forward to trying it, hopefully a switch 2 version is on the cards

This should have been an Alien Day announcement, but what a great news!! I wish could play it  :-\

Yuppers

I thought it looked like a prerendered cinematic! Holy moly! Now the cringe moment when they list the PC minimum requirements to run it at 1080[ HD 60fps.

khas

Will the minimum requirements be lower than the VR version?

Cornbread

I agree with aliens13 about Alien Day.

Sooo... is this a whole separate release? As in, if you own the original version this isn't available as an upgrade? Would you have to swap between two different games if you wanted to play VR or non-VR?

Need clarification here, this thing hasn't been out all that long and we're still waiting on part two. It's a bit confusing.

Yep.

Still Collating...

If that is the case, then that is a great move.

Prez

Makes sense to release a very well received VR game into a more conventional FPS. Bigger market for sales. 2022 stats estimated only 7% of the US Gaming market use VR.

Apparently they went backward yet again. We have to buy the game again as I can't see in my library anymore.

Well damn, they keep on having the most unique issues with Steam.

Yes, people are now really mad on the Steam discussion boards that this happened. It's one thing to have it be bought separately from the start, which is still IMO a bad marketing move since they should reward their VR adopters, but it's a completely different gut punch to see you get the thing in your library, get your hopes up that you're being rewarded for supporting the game, and then have it removed from your library, just as your hopes got up.

That is quite a blunder on their part.

I'm still really excited for the game, but they need to be a lot more careful with how they release this version this time around.
