So it's down in writing here -

QuoteI had a bunch of big ideas when I finished Prey, I would love to get to all of them. There's definitely a plan in mind, but the movie (Predator: Killer of Killers) has to do well. So, we'll see. The third story, which I can't speak to yet, is what would happen with Naru.

Sounds that way.. I think I would personally enjoy more original stories with more original characters. The Naru story was complete as far as I'm concerned, I don't need to see how Greyback gets the flintlock or the likelihood that Naru gifts the flintlock to Greyback.

Part of the brilliance of PREY is certainly that it can exist entirely on its own and let you imagine what happens between it and PREDATOR 2. But now with Killer of Killers we have a third part of the equation that potentially leads or follows that post-Badlands story.

The ending of KoK imo kinda undermines/cheapens the franchise...

Absolutely did - in many ways.

I don't want to see Greyback involved in these awful projects, but since his design is one of the best, it shouldn't happen.

I agree that having the flintlock in KoK is somewhat convoluted.
I just realized that having the ammo and "accessories" next to the gun seems to hint that it takes place before Predator 2.
If they take it from Harrigan after Predator 2, where would they get the accessories that Naru used? From a museum? Did Greyback give the bullets to Harrigan, and it wasn't shown?

unless they have experience with flintlocks and other single loading guns and know what it needs to function.

I've been reading the whole situation in the arena as before 1997.

By the "new rules", would Harrigan get abducted though?

I don't really see any concrete rules. The Preds he went up against let him go and gave him a trophy and peaced out. Maybe some other clan, like the one depicted in KOK, might have some interest in scooping him up?

I've been seeing it as some nebulous point in the future like PREDATORS. Dan T has said Torres was frozen for a long time.

A long time could mean a few decades just as much as it could mean hundreds of years, though. There's really no saying when it's set right now, not until a future project (or an explicit statement) gives us more to work off of.

And Dan said he was intentionally vague so he could do whatever later.
