It's good for rapid generation of variants, but as an end result it feels lifeless and uninspired IMO.

Well if you click the link you'll see it's not to recreate alien or predators. Though it does sometimes create unique predator masks, but it's mostly the scenery. Just like with any concept art AI or human you have to incorporate your own imagination into it too

Many people including myself would disagree with you on that. Generic isn't remotely close to a lot of the AI stuff out there. My stuff might be cause I just randomly tried it but some of what is out there on instagram and other sources is amazing

Also don't see anything remotely close to generic as you say in some of the more advanced AI pictures. And they won't be self labeled for long, I'm sure there will be a whole genre of AI artist in the future. It will be a tool not a crutch

Unless your schtick is compositing different AI images together you can't be an AI artist. The AI is doing the art, you're just making requests.

We don't say Pope Julius II painted the Sistine Chapel because he commissioned it.

I'm going to sound mean for a second but The only artist in AI artist is the machine. Like if I request a piece to be drawn or created, I'm not the creator, I'm the one who gave out the idea. I believe that you can be an artist, And it's simply easy to do, but yes Hard to master, but when you do, it is incredible and I believe you have those capabilities. AI is not a tool like CGI or a pencil. It's the Artist
