Hmm, the scorpion shot immediately makes me think of The Black Scorpion (1957), but it's been a while since I last watched that and I can't place in my head if that is actually a shot from it or not. I don't think so, though; the stop motion Willis O'Brien scorpions in that were a bit more stylized, at least in closeups...

I caught the 'person' flash across the screen and thought it might be an engineer, now that I get a good look at it I'm thinking it's not.

The scorpion on the other hand I didn't see... Very interesting. It would seem that if there was life on other planets it would be more insectiod or arachnid type of creatures. I mean if roaches can survive nuclear fallout, then they could probably survive more hostile atmosphere of a distant planet.

The eyeball poke is kinda weird, definitely getting Prometheus vibes from it.

I'm sure all these shots have to mean something if you put them together... Not really sure what though.
