Same - in some way it'll be in there and I wouldn't mind that at all.

Could be named dropped quickly by a character, or a WY logo in the background.

I could see it as a logo for sure - maybe if we get an android and they are killed, followed up by a panning frame of the body we will see a logo imprinted somewhere internally.

If we do we get any WY presence, then I would expect it to go farther than just a logo in the background. The whole planet would probably have to be a WY colony, if they're going to play with that angle.

I like that idea too and that could work but I don't think it necessarily needs to a full fledged WY colony in order to introduce the company to Badlands. There could be many other options or approaches to introduce WY and its logo. It could be WY made tech such as an android being used by a privately owned company, it could be WY exploring new planets for colonization, it could be WY supplies or tech for a research project - I mean the possibilities are endless..

It would be bolder, but I think it's possible.

Same - either way, the possibility and option for Dan is there.

Quote from: Nightmare Asylum on Nov 21, 2024, 11:30:47 AMMy thing is, if we're really doing shared continuity for real this time (as Asbell seems to be implying), I do hope it remains pretty one sided in the standalone films. That meaning, I have no problem with Alien universe stuff (such Weyland-Yutani, Colonial Marines, Engineer/Space Jockey ruins, etc.) showing up in Predator movies, but I don't think Alien movies really gain anything from Predator stuff appearing in them. What do the Predator movies really have to offer in that regard other than... Predators? Once you dip in that far with the opposite titular creature appearing in your film, you're in full on AVP territory.

For the inevitable future AVP film, just go all out. Everything and the kitchen sink.

and that's exactly where it would stop for me.
They always help themselves from the alien inventory and give it away.
Which of course they can do at any time because the whole thing belongs to them.

In avp we already had the WY existence, but ultimately that belongs exclusively in the alien universe.
So far I can ignore AvP in the cinematic area or just view it as a cheap comic book adaptation.

I admit that my thinking is really quite narrow-minded.
sometimes I wish that the Alien and Predator brands were owned by different studios that weren't interested in crossovers.

BigDaddyJohn

Your thinking is your thinking man, nothing wrong with that.

Yeah I agree with @BigDaddyJohn - your opinion is welcome. I have plenty of perspectives on Predator for example that others may disagree with. You are entitled to your view.
