The Cruentus

You can sneak attack them but you on higher difficulties they can sponge enough hits for them to recover from the sneak attack which means your only chance is to then stun them. On lower difficulties, sneaking attacking them can allowing you to kill them with melee.

I'd like to see a decent playable prologue before the inevitable shit goes down.

It would have been amazing to wander Svestopol in the immediate aftermath of the chestburster getting loose and interacting properly with the increasingly paranoid crew.

I don't even know how I'd approach writing a sequel. It wouldn't be easy.
It has to have a similar feel to the first one without being too similar but not a shoot him up either like fireteam elite. It has to feel like the first one without being samey samey.

We know Amanda gets rescued. We know or assume she still wants to find her mother or get answers. How she goes about that or where she goes is where I draw a blank.

Alien isolation has the greatest unintentional prologue of all time in the form of "last survivor"

You can play that and then cut to the main campaign and it fits perfectly

Got the DLCs tonight (Corporate Lockdown, Trauma, Safe Haven, Lost Contact and The Trigger). And oh boy, it was like playing the game for the first time again. Didn't know where to go and in full panic mode because of that. Didn't play them all yet, just a bit of Lockdown and Trauma but they seem to give nice background too to what happened in the station before Ripley and her crew arrived. Ties in nicely to the audio logs and other logs found in the main game.

You can see Lingard deleting things from a computer during the Corporate Lockdown,  its a great touch.

I love the DLCs, you can visit different locations of sevastopol, and discover some bits of new lore.

Safe heaven is amazing, the way you unlock new zones its pretty cool.

The DLCs add a lot of replayability.

My ideal Alien Isolation 2 is set in a colony planet
you are basically in Newt's shoes, except you are an adult with some gun training
You can loot guns, but using them is not worth it, non military weapon hardly hurt the Aliens and just piss them off
you need to face off against other humans, wildlife, androids and ofc, the aliens
instead of a singular alien chasing you through the game, each area should have multiple set aliens, some of which you can kill via traps and even by looting Colonial Marine weapons with limited ammo
the ammo is entirely missable and missing your shots will just scare the alien away or piss it off instead of killing it
4 different alien enemy types, Drone/Stalker, basically stompy, very smart and independent, prefers sneaking on it's prey. ; Warrior, also smart but doesn't care about being injured so it's more likely to rush into danger, slower and less stealthier than the Drone, it will call it's brethren to it's location if attacked. ; Runner, fast but more fragile, born from the wildlife and animals the colonists brought to the planet, where there's one there's likely to be another. ; Facehugger, extremely fragile and not that common, found around nesting areas, where there's one there's always more.
All are killable with some needing more strategy than others, all can instantly kill you upon getting you, you aren't a soldier or a badass, just a survivor, although if a Drone or Warrior get you, as long as you haven't pissed them off they'll take you to a hive to cocoon you, while Runners will always kill you.
burning, shooting or catching one in your traps will leave them injured, since the number of aliens in the game would be set, they would have scars from their previous encounters with you, aliens that have seen you before and survived will look for you more than the ones that haven't

After seeing the legacy cut of Alien 3, I would like it if this one was more like the third movie, since the dragon was closer to Big Chap in the ways that it hunts!

Also, I would prefer if the alien kept its dome in the more horror oriented games!
