Ok, I'm not a fan of the Newborn either, but for the sake of argument.

Some also think it may have had "super strength".

As the whole thing was entirely f**ked up with the Human DNA and the blah-de-blah! If the Newborn were to take on the 'groqin' aspects of the Human, then it would of become a lot bigger, however considering how it was all mixed and screwed up, i think it would of possibly got slightly bigger, maybe a few Alien features, nothing to drastic, and then stayed liked that, but considering how screwed up the majority of A:r is....well i wouldnt of been surprised if the writer invisioned it as a 50 foot tall GOJIRA!

I think it was still at the Chestburster phase and would probably have got a lot bigger and even stronger. Would have looked a lot different and possibly more alien-like.

Corrected.

I don't think it would've grown proportionally bigger.  But woulda eventually been around Queen size and grow the harder black chitin (not exoskeleton) of a normal Alien, much the some way chestbursters are squishy at birth but harden up a tad.

The newborn was a genetic freak, like a retarded alien IMO.  I don't think it would have survived long.  Like the botched experiments of Ripley 1-7, it was unstable and the result of clumsy genetic engineering (which is why the Queen was so weak with a human-like womb).

I doubt the Newborn would have survived more than a few days.  I know SM will disagree with me here, but consider that the aliens are a perfectly evolved (or engineered by an advanced alien race) speciman, while the Newborn is the result of some awkward scientific experiments.

Also, the Newborn's skeleton was fragile enough to get broken up and blown out of a small hole into space.  Not exactly a sign of it being very robust.

Edited to fix lousy typing.

I was talking about IF it had lived longer than 10 minutes.  Like I said chestbursters aren't exactly hardarses at birth.

Yes I will disagree, based on the fct that Ripley8 not only survived, but positively thrived.

Only after Ripleys 1-7 failed.  But we don't know how long Ripley 8 would've lasted either.

Ripley 8 would have survived long because shes the perfect replication of the old Ripley...

No she's not.

QuoteBut we don't know how long Ripley 8 would've lasted either.

She lived at least a four or five days.  My previous posts were referring to the Newborn living at least that long.

Sure she's not exactly like Ripley in terms of motive or behavior, but she looks like she would have just obviously a little older...

So, the newborn from ALIEN 4 was just a baby right. How would he look like an adult? ::)

I don't get it because they were trying to get us to sympathise with the newborn but that scene always seemed comical to me.

We've discussed this before.

IMO it becomes black and armoured and slightly bigger.

Technically, it would become of queen, because its mother was a direct queen and so he would have the crest and all. And his/her son would be and so on and so forth.

Technically that's pure speculation.  If anything Ripley would've been the next Queen going by earlier drafts of the script.

If I knew how to make that abomonation look cool then i would draw it, and so would evryone else, but sinve there is no possible way to make it look less stupid, I am afraid no one will.

If I get the time and the inclination lasts, I'll take a photo of the action figure and do some Photoshoppery jiggery pokery with it.

It would have been cool to see it grow. Hopefully it would have got black and armored. And maybe...lost its eyes.
