Series 7 Novels?

Bit of confusion here, am being sent a bunch of Aliens books to review collectively termed Series 7. Was unaware that the novels had series, is this correct or has someone decided to assign series numbers to the books or are they confused with the number of books?

The books are:

Out of the Shadows
Sea of Soccows
River of Pai
Invasion
Cold Forge
Prototype
Isolation

Sent by whom? It sounds like they're basically grouping the novels by 'era' or publisher, these are all the Titan novels and some of the most recent, I would guess that Echo, and Into Charybdis, and Infiltrator would be Series 8.
