It'd be great but I can't help but feel we've seen the last of the LE expansions.  :-\

Should be picking up my copy of The Predator Battles next week!  ;D

I finally got out my Alien Battles and gave it several playthroughs. It like something I had always wondered about "What if you could play MTG with Aliens" and it kind of works out that way. It was enjoyable once I figured out the rules and style of play type of stuff. There were multiple questions I had to ask about online because coming from a MTG background some things were similar and came natural and others were almost the exact opposite.

The suggested deck is ok for your first game but I would definitely build something specific for your main character after that. Even without buying any more cards you can still put something together that is more in line with the abilities of the main character that you choose. The only thing that made it seem a little stale at times was the lack of plot twists that made it just feel like "drop a character and fight" each turn. Coming from MTG there are multiple other types of cards that bring other stuff to the table so its not just creatures all the time. It looks like the predator set has more plot twists and I suppose you could check out the other comic sets to spice it up if you don't sacrificing the theme a little bit.

If anybody plays the Predator Battles let me know how it goes. I will probably get it at some point down the road. I am just glad that these franchises are getting some other cool games besides video games. After the failed CCG back in the day I wouldn't have thought there would be two Legendary games, two VS games, and even Yahtzee and Clue!

Hicks do you still have the links to the special playmats or alternate art queen card? The links didn't work anymore and I couldn't find anything on a quick search.

The mats never saw general release, I don't believe. The Queen was available just by purchasing a set from Upper Deck's store directly for a while but that's since gone.  :-\ I'm afraid I've got nothing more for you than to just keep an eye on eBay.

I finally got to give The Predator Battles a go last night. Only one game with it but it was good. Definitely felt a little different to the Alien Battles. I went for the Falconer and his thing was getting the OP to reveal cards to level is and that was definitely a bit interesting.
