Hand is A-OK, it looks like the plate on the bottom of the magazine shot off, breaking the lips that hold it in place, launching the spring and 6 rounds of .45 into the dirt

And that is why one should never use a cup and saucer grip with a pistol.

The dreaded teacup grip.
Which is exactly why my hand is fine

We don't even use it on an actual cup and saucer. That's how hardcore we are.

Implying I don't center axis relock my tea cups... I'm joking, tea is only good when it's thrown into a harbor

And well you should! Teacups can be dangerous.

In the market for an AR15, deciding on a 5.56 or 300 blackout:

I've shot an AR15 300 Blackout, really nice with a Romeo5; also the 5.56 is heavier but I do like distance.

Get a 5.56 and a barrel to support the 300 and just swap it out when you want to switch it up.

AliceApocalypse

Might have to MC, depending on ammo availability also.

You can also just build or buy two uppers, one for the 5.56 and the other for the 300.  Easier to switch out than the barrel.

Is ammo scarce in your neck of the woods?

AliceApocalypse

Right now 300 Blackout ammo is running close to $1 a bullet in my redneck of the woods  :o

Master Chief

Whoa! Too expensive! I think you have your answer on which to get.

What's your states laws on suppressors?

Got an old Estwing for free. Cleaned her up on the grinder and she's good as new. Not a gun, but it might be my backup in the woods this fall.
