Yeah, I don't recognize the Alien at first glance, but I'm pretty certain that wolf is one of those (in my opinion) cringey animatronic wolves that StudioADI created for the werewolf movie "Wolf" starring Jack Nicholson.



I compare this to something like Rob Bottin's animatronic dog puppet in The Thing, and it just makes me realize how (in my eyes) some of ADI's work really pales in comparison.

Yep. It would seem that way.    

I'm holding out hope that somehow StudioADI makes a wonderful Predator in Skulls though, I really do. Because we all win then, including them.

But for now I'm just hoping the Predator stays camouflaged and masked for the majority of the film, because ADI Predators like Wolf can look pretty cool when masked.

I'm rooting for Predator performer Kyle too, but I do wish he was taller!

Damn, that is a huge blow.

It's times like these I pray to god Ridley is part of the Alien TV series. The fact the prequels creature effects were handled by different companies was such a relief (presumably Ridley had a huge say in that).

I don't know how they've got this gig after three questionable-at-best stints with Predator

That's exactly what I'm thinking right now. And if well shot, it can be actually really good. That's a lot to wish for though I'm afraid.

So I'm guessing ADI's involvement is all but confirmed. Good sleuthing guys. Given the light of the recent lawsuit, help me out, why are we looking forward to this? Native American angle is great but everything else sounds terrible. ADI doesn't deserve another shot and I doubt they ever did. Even if they get this one right, who the f**k cares? If they got it right or close we would be able to look at their involvement with both franchises and root for em but that's not the case is it.
