Well boys and girls! It's that time again. For the foreseeable future I will be hosting a game night for Aliens: Colonial Marines on the X-Box 360. This will be every Sunday night, 8pm GMT until approximately 10pm GMT.
First session will be this coming Sunday the 17th. Just add my gamertag cplhicks2310 and let me know you're adding me for the game night. If I fail to invite you on the day, just give me a message to remind me you want to join us.

We did... but then when we stopped maybe about a year before A:CM came out. We played the week before A:CM release but that was just in celebration or something. With A:CM out I don't see AvP2010 ever making a comeback again, my opinion that is.

Very fun tonight. I really liked the escape and survival matches. I would really recommend more of those types of matches better than team death match and extermination. Of course only when we have 8 people. Then I would suggest those lesser game modes
Yeah I had a blast too. I'm kind of partial to Extremination, because that mode demands such teamwork and the health is so evenly matched, but Survivor and Escape can be great fun as well.

The Lurkers are the worst, they can literally fly across the map and land right next to you. Your trying to kill it before it gets a clear shot to pounce on you. I often lose that little battle. XD LOL!

I am interested in who has the season pass out of the ACM game night members. I am mainly asking because even though the game is not that decent. I believe the DLC is worth it for the sake of the group. For instants avp 2010 in my opinion got better with the dlc. In my opinion more content is better at this point. We have 3 bug hunt maps coming. More survival and escape. With DLC this way it keeps things new. Something to look forward too.
I'm not sure about DLC's after bug hunt, but i'll be picking up the first DLC for sure.
I won't get a season pass until I'm certain there will be DLC for the game. They lied about everything else....

So we have seen what gearbox is offering for bug hunt. Who is gonna play bug hunt. I think this would be a good warm up game to play. Pre avpgalaxy game night maybe hour before game night starts. I always get on early. But sadly i would not suggest the dlc. I can not lie it has flaws but fun none the less.

I'm getting the DLC, but from what I've gathered it will only be up to four players. Kinda limits the party size if it was to be used for game night

Sorry guys - I had planned on keeping Sunday night constantly free for me but that hasn't panned out. I'm juggling 2 jobs, a relationship and trying to have time for myself and it's not working out.
I still want to try and play with everyone so I'll post up when I've got Sundays free and we'll get something sorted. :) I'm really hoping I can get some DLC players on tonight to play some Bughunt and some games in the new DLC if anyone is up for that? About 9pm GMT?

Had a blast tonight guys. Thanks! Was surprised to see so many people on the dlc maps and Bughunt is brilliant with a bunch of friends. Much better than the few times I tried to play on my own!
You may already know this but you can activate a threat suppressor in BugHunt and aliens will attack in endless waves until the threat suppressor is fully armed. Arm the suppressor until it is about 95% complete, then move away from the immediate area to camp with sentry turrets and rack up as much $$$ as needed. Once you get bored or things get dicey, run up and finish arming the suppressor. This can also be fun if you want to mix in aliens to fight during the waves that only have W-Y mercs on the map "Tribute."

Like I said, I am trying to fix it up so it won't be so loud and sensitive when I freak out, but the problem is Tritton can't write detailed instructions to save they're own asses, the instructions told me next to nothing in detail on how to work them correctly, so i'm basically learning as I go. I want to be able to have decent ingame sound volume (with the sounds made behind me being louder than elsewhere) and be able to hear you guys crystal clear while not having to hear my own voice, but like I said, i'm pretty much trying to figure out these Tritton ProTrue 5.1 Surround Headsets by myself because they tell you next to nothing in detail on how to work them. = P
Combine this with the fact nobody really and willingly plays with me on anyday
but Sunday so I can use them as a test subject for these and i'm basically up shits creek without a paddle. Even if I do learn how to effectively work them, I would still need someone to test them on.... DX
Hopefully I'll have all these issues settled by next Sunday. I'm just gonna have to search youtube for the answers I need. = P
(Edit: I'd also like to add that my Mic today was literally as far away from my mouth as I could move it without ripping it off my headset. DX )
(Second Edit: I might be able to fix the mic issue if I rotate my mic in a manner where the sound won't be so loud or maybe be able to put something on it also. I'll try either one and see how that goes if I can't figure out how to adjust the mic volume.... Or in case it doesn't have a feature like that at all. = P )

I may be on this week, i'm having this weird connection issue where everything works fine except anything involving playing videos, downloading things and loading images and photos. I tried to download a arcade game on XboxLIVE when this issue was still going on and it hardly did anything at all. So it might f**k with my mic or gameplay if I try to actually play a game online with you guys. Though I haven't actually tried to play a game when this issue is going on, I guess I could try today though with my other friends, if it doesn't work, i won't be on than on Saturday. Anyway, sorry for this guys. = P = )

is it ok if i start my own ACM+AVP game nights on XBOX? they would probably be on Saturdays or Fridays for Americans. i own all the DLCs on both games so i can host for any one willing to jump on in fact after i get home in 2 hours im going to be online if any one wants to play normally I'm online on a casual basis threw out the week when Im not at animation college or CGI modeling for AVP:IMPACT.
