Ok ive been noticing this for a while and havent seen anyone say anything about it so here goes. In the trailers when Wolf is picking up the 2 aliens by the throat has anyone else seen those red lines behind him? Im thinking its a shield to trap his prey or contain the battle in whichever area he chooses. Ive seen it used in the comic Aliens vs Predator Booty except it didnt look like this. The one in the comic was just a net this one appears to be a a few lasers. Any thoughts?
I think people have actually talked about that potentially being a trap by Wolf for the Aliens. Or a trap of Wolf's that back fired on him but either way it's speculation. That was one of the earlier photos so now people are feasting there minds elsewhere (newer "info").
Buddy the guys on here noticed that soon as the trailer came out lol. Not that I did at first.

Oh god a trap/s would be awesome!!! I think it would go a long way to establishing his credibility in killing so many Aliens.
I think it's a trap 'cause the 2 aliens warriors he holds in the sewer just try to kill Wolf with their tongues, looks like they can't use their claws nor their tails, but it's only 2 or 3 seconds in the trailer ,so...Wait and see.
Few problems.
There's absolutely no sign the Aliens are in any way restricted except their throats.
We've seen other Aliens react this way when touched by Wolf.
We know the fights start in the sewers and head out - Those Aliens are goners.

Based on what ? 2 seconds in the trailer ? Since you don't know what happened just before and what will happen right after, a trap, untill the release of the movie is the more probable idea.
So if Wolf grabs an Alien by the throat it's pretty much a goner? ::)

That seems to be the pattern we have been noticing.
There is even a report of footage showing a fourth reacting precisely the same way.
It may be a trap, it seems that Wof was ruuning away from it too, maybe like the laser trap coridor in Resident Evil 1 the movie.
What im thinking is it is a trap set by him to keep the bugs in one area or keep others out of that area while he deals with those 2. Either way it would be bad ass to see him setting it up and just lookin at those two in a YOUR f**kED NOW way

yeah thats kind the way i was thinkin of it, it was an ambush they came from both directions then he activated it and it kept the others away while he could kill the other 2 and escape.
I dont know if its really confirmed yet, i think it still just a theory what those red lasers in the sewer are... or not?

also I've been wondering about the scene where wolf has two aliens by the throat. I can't see what he'd do next as he can't operate any melee weapons and his shoulder cannon will cause an acid splash, but the lazers are in the background so maybe the throws the aliens into them?
He might have trouble killing the aliens in close combat and has to throw them in the lasers......
but if they have these kind weapons i wonder why they dont just make lightsabers or somefin.... :D

Nobody's ever been able to come up with a realistic theory for how lightsabres work, so, as genuinely cool as the idea would look on screen, it's very unlikely. :)

In fact, I'm having some trouble with sounds. I distinctly remember looking out for the classic shoulder cannon sound FX but I don't remember hearing it at any point. Was it there and I just phased out or was that just more bullshit?
