I think the implication is supposed to be that the flesh that he is in in TRoS is a cloned body, but the body is failing and can't contain the power he has in him - hence him wanting Rey's body as an alternative. Or something like that. I'm fuzzy on TRoS (and keep mixing up what was said in the film itself, and what was said in outside sources).

I didn't know it was getting an art book, but it pleases me.

Now please release one for TCW as well. Rebels got one, so come on.

Wait but, how the hell is Palpatine alive in ROS if not a clone?

According to the Wookieepedia:

QuoteThe Sith Eternal was a secret cult that followed the Sith religion, preserving it after the destruction of the final two Sith Lords, Galactic Emperor Darth Sidious and Darth Vader. As Sith cultists they revered the power of the dark side of the Force and venerated Sidious, who cheated death by preserving his spirit in a cloned body. The Sith Eternal strove to prevent their master from dying again, and resorted to the science of gene splicing in hopes of building a more suitable vessel for his dark essence. Their experiments led to the creation of various artificial genetic constructs, known as strandcasts, such as Supreme Leader Snoke as well as the Emperor's cloned son, who sired a natural-born Force-sensitive daughter called Rey. None of their endeavors succeeded in producing a viable host for Sidious' soul, however, and he was forced to rely on life support machinery in order to survive.

Got the Mando one on pre-order. 8) Still do need to get the Rebels one though, and I very much agree with TCW, especially now that the show is actually completed.

Speaking of alternatives, and going back to Mando...

Spoiler
I wouldn't be surprised if Gideon wants to capture Ahsoka instead of Baby Yoda.

The dark side of the force is a pathway to many abilities some consider to be...UNNATURAL

Revenge of the Sith is a good movie. And it has the best Saber duels.

Some old but relevant post-Rebels Ahsoka pieces from Dave Filoni that offer some insight into how he views the character in her current state, and may reflect her portrayal in her live-action debut. Note the incredibly heavy emphasis on Tolkien, which is very in line with her arc throughout Rebels.

This one was posted on his feed after the release of The Rise of Skywalker, during rampant speculation that she may be dead due to her voice appearing among all of the other fallen Jedi reaching out to Rey.

I'm sure everyone and their iguana has seen this by now. You can only imagine what it would have been like if this is what we got in 1977. Peoples brains would have exploded in theaters.

It would fit very well with the ending of Rogue One where Vader fought as a fierce and young warrior.

Then he fights like a grandpa a few hours later. My theory is that like in video games, his Force bar was at zero due to the previous fight on Rogue One

FWIW people's brains did explode in 1977 even without this scene  ;D

... I get what you mean though.
