Outstanding interview, who'd thought a costume extra would possess the attention to detail of a movie Director? Seriously Wyatt Weed's commentary on his career, movies and trends of the time matches that of James Cameron's ALIENS director commentary.

While not a Star Wars fan I found it funny that Wyatt stumbled upon a star wars set (in the us rather than the uk), only to be told by a stage hand it was for an energizer bunny commercial (1994 below). Ironically while doing stunts for The Guyver with a washed up Mark "Luke Skywalker" Hamill (in Guyver) in the set next door. Hamill had probably wrote off Star Wars as old hat by that point, not realising the cgi Special Editions were being re-done. Or he'd be asked to return, unironically, after sending up star wars in jay and silent bob films.

The Jean Claude Van Damme (Dumbee) accent impression and stunt suit story was hilarious.

Not sure why the "flying stealth V  plane wing walk" action sequence in his PREDATOR idea was attributed to MARVEL when it was done in 1994's Arnold Schwarzenegger's True Lies and bookended in ALIEN Covenant (although Weed said he hadn't watched that).

Yeah we need a back to basics reboot for ALIENS and PREDATOR. While we need a futuristic avp with a good story and script.

the Pregnant Predator

Excuse me, what !?

Yep, listen to the podcast. Wyatt gave the gents a highly detailed pitch, and much of it sounded rather cool, but overall it was too much in my humble opinion.

Great podcast guys!

I loved Wyatt Weed's story of Schwarzenegger and the frogs, even though it was second-hand information. It was fun to hear Wyatt's crazy Predator pitch too. I think the time period piece is spot-on, Predator during World War II? Oh yeah!!  but it strays way too far from the back to basics approach that this franchise desperately needs imo with the Predator translation device, the Pregnant Predator, etc. etc.  Wyatt does a pretty damn good Arnold impression too!   :D

I wish you guys asked him if he ever wondered why the Boar was one of the few Lost Predators that was unarmed.  An Engineer perhaps?

Wyatt, if you're reading this, the Elder was named Grayback in the script, and there was definitely a Predator 2 red-carpet premiere at the Avco Theater. You can find some pictures here:

I really want to see a Predator movie with the predator getting the Lead actors skull at the end. Predator winning at the end :'(
