Is it author preference? Is it Aliens if there's a queen and Alien if not? Is it whichever Titan decides fits the vibe better?

Kimarhi

I always thought it was a vibe check.

Probably has to do with the number of aliens in it.

I mean, for real.

SiL

It does not. Aliens stories have had one and Alien stories have had multiple.

Huggs

Well, that's the wild world we live in.

Nightmare Asylum

In the case of Into Charybdis, it was even a story with lots of Aliens and Colonial Marines and it got an "Alien" title!

happypred

Pretty sure it's either writer preference or whatever the publisher thinks will appeal more to the target audience

Drukathi

Depends on the presence of the dome.

Kimarhi

Caste/Cowl vs Alien/Aliens.
