Pros and cons.
I like some of the pictures you posted.
I also like some of the pictures of other people that they created with AI.
It's okay to play around with AI in a limited setting.
I find some of the results quite interesting.
Nobody forbids you to use this for yourself.

BUT:
I see AI in the artistic field as extremely questionable.
Art comes from ability. Shouldn't an artist have enough inspiration to create something?
If he doesn't have that, he's not an artist either. He is no longer an exception when he uses AI.
Because everyone can do that somehow.

Saving time is not a real argument for me.
Good things take time. A real work of art takes time.
PS can be a tool for images, for example. I can create an image completely myself with it. But I still have to create something.
If I tell the AI to create this and that for me as an image, then I have simply given an order and not created anything myself. Even if I only use the AI as inspiration for an image, then at least the image created afterwards must be completely created with my own hands and not just be a copy of the AI work. If I take an AI work and make improvements to it, it is also fake.

AI can be a blessing in medicine if used correctly.
But I don't think it's good in the artistic area
no matter whether pictures, music, poetry and films.
It will always have a bad aftertaste when someone says they created something with the help of AI.
I might then be able to say, "good idea, looks interesting," but I can never say, "you did a good job."

Quote from: solace97 on Jul 14, 2024, 11:56:57 PMI could see the lifeless part, but I think it definitely generates inspiration since it's so out of the box. Sometimes makes you look at things in a way you hadn't thought before
It's generic in virtually every other way possible.
Many people including myself would disagree with you on that. Generic isn't remotely close to a lot of the AI stuff out there. My stuff might be cause I just randomly tried it but some of what is out there on instagram and other sources is amazing
It *clap* looks *clap* the *clap* same

It's generic as it spits out similar results time and time again. I have zero respect for self labeled artists that just put a prompt in a machine.
Then how about you just do yourself the favor and avoid posts like this. Because I have zero respect for someone like you that comes on and bashes something acting like a total ahole because they disagree. Your *clap* inserts show your emotional immaturity btw.

Also don't see anything remotely close to generic as you say in some of the more advanced AI pictures. And they won't be self labeled for long, I'm sure there will be a whole genre of AI artist in the future. It will be a tool not a crutch
For now it seems to be your whole skillset. Enjoy.
You're a real prick. People like you that always need the last word and continue to bash others is what ruins this site.
Spoiler
the AI art I post was for fun and I once again never claimed to be good at it
[close]
I am the prick because I point out that it is flat entertainment at best, interesting take.

Continue the AI art discussion in the AI art thread please. I don't want this thread to become pages worth of everyone's individual outlook on AI and AI art that's not why I created this post.

QuoteFor now it seems to be your whole skillset. Enjoy.

No, this is why.

You know nothing about me or my skillsets and made an ignorant comment, when I've stated over and over this was an instagram page I made for fun. I randomly found an AI app and that I liked some of the results and wanted to share. This is not the only thing I do. In fact I had never heard of AI art until right before I first posted on this page. I'm traditional pen, pencil, paper, and with the editing I do online sometimes photoshop or adobe products. But I always like to experiment and try something new, and I researched what some of the people who use AI art generators all the time had to say. Because some of the work I was seeing (not mine once again) was incredible. And I wasn't sure how this was being achieved like if they were coding the generators themselves or editing afterwards, but it didn't have the traditional AI feel.

However, you chose to use this thread to discuss your personal stance on AI use as well as tell me I have no skills. And couldn't accept that I disagreed with you and that many other people find some AI art just as appealing, creative, inspiring (not flat) and in cases better than what humans have made. Then you continued by inserting childish *claps* into your comment followed by trying to drive the point home that AI art is not good whatsoever. I disagreed with all of those takes, so you call all AI art users self labeled artists that don't have talent. Followed by me having no skill sets. So, yes I find that as a personal dig and personally insulting when you know nothing about me and chose to use an instagram fan art page that I made with some random AI art generator to throw insults towards me. I hoped to just share content and have some people like what they saw, same way I saw some AI art and liked a few things which led me to try it. Not having people just come here and bash AI art and myself. Which is once again not the purpose or conversation of topic for the original post. I disagree with your take and stance on AI art and it led to your agitation with me.

And now you come back and comment again, and I'm convinced you just want to troll me for my beliefs in AI art or anything I've put on that instagram page. So, please stop.
