Superhero and antihero may be a bit extreme in describing their actions but I can understand how some people formulate that perception of them. I know I idolized them when I was younger and thought something along the lines of "hah I'm a kid
and a girl so they won't hurt me!"
Their intentions aren't necessarily to do good like a superhero, but more selfish and for the thrill of hunting. Though this doesn't take away the idea that they are aware of various situations where there are unarmed victims up against armed attackers.
Spoiler
In regards to what takes place in the new movie: I haven't read the script so I'm not sure to what extent how friendly the friendly predators are but I'm assuming they respect humans enough to the point where you can argue that their actions are heroic. I really like that this movie is playing up on individualizing each predator; they all have their own thoughts and motives to go along with what seems to be a common code of honor.
