Think we should treat this with some caution, I have a friend living in that area who knows nothing about the movie filming anywhere on Skye, and as someone pointed out, there may be some confusion as this report has been circulated before earlier this year. That doesn't mean it isn't happening of course, these studio people have ways and means to decieve us all, but for now I dont believe a word of it, I'll let you know if I hear anything.

I was on a weekend trip to Skye on the 14/15th Jan - drove all the way round the Trotternish peninsula anticlockwise and came across a huge load of trailers/cars and 3 helecopters parked up. We were going to walk up to the Old Man but decided it give it a miss there being nowhere left to park! We knew it must have been something big going on but suspected Top Gear or James Bond.

Thanks for the confirmation!

Isn't it wonderful? This community literally has eyes everywhere, lol.

Who the heck writes up the articles over at the 'Potty Mouth' site?!  I suppose that it's rather appropriate that the writing is shit!

Quote from: Potty MouthThis Charlize Theron and Michael Fassbender starrer...

Is "starrer" even a word?!  Surely that sentence should read as "This upcoming motion picture, starring Charlize Theron and Michael Fassbender..."

Quote from: Potty Mouth...is something Scott is all excited about.

"...is a project which Scott is very excited about."

Quote from: Potty MouthThe high profile director is confident that the 3D format used in this film has a great future in filmmaking.

"The high profile director is confident that the popular 3D format being used for this film has a bright future within the filmmaking industry."

Quote from: Potty MouthPrometheus is going to use special effects rather than CG effects.

Um, CG effects are a type of special effect.  This should read as "Prometheus is to primarily utilise practical special effects, as opposed to a heavy usage of CGI."

Quote from: Potty MouthBeing his first 3D release and his first science fiction film since Blade Runner 25 years ago, he wants nothing less than perfect.

"Perfection", not "perfect"!

These pics seem to resemble the landscape we see in Alien...the rock formations for example...or is that just me??? :s
