In 2014 I'm looking to start a podcast that focuses on the Alien franchise. If you're familiar with my other podcast Jurassic Cast (the Jurassic Park podcast, you can research that here jpforever.com) you'll be excited to hear this will be similar as I hope to get interviews with cast and crew like the JP pod.

However that's in the future and to begin this I need to name the podcast. I have some ideas that I may pick but I'd love to hear what you guys think it should be called?

I'm also looking for another host so drop me a DM if you're interested in joining me. The plan is for it to be a monthly podcast so you'd need to be flexible because there wont be a set recording time each month.

This is an exciting project I hope to keep going for a while so I'd love to get committed, professional people to join. We'll have a laugh it'll be very relaxed but it will be a serious project that I want people to respect as an entertaining platform for fans to enjoy

For the name using castE somehow might be a good idea. Maybe Xeno Caste or Xenomorph Caste?

Wondering as to how you have a Jurassic Park podcast?  Is there really that much going on with JP that you can have a podcast on it?  Honestly curious.  What do you talk about?

With a new film coming out next year, merchandise, and the recent 3D release of JP there's loads to chat about.
We also interview cast & crew, who tend to tell stories the fans haven't heard before, plus we interview the crew of the new film. It's a gold mine ;)

Cool, I'll have to give it a listen then.  Got an episode where you talk about the Telltale game?  I've been thinking about picking it up.

I think the other host Sam discusses it in episode 3 or 4.

I really enjoyed the podcast, great work!

I liked it but there was a bit too much music. Though saying that, I hadn't heard that Ed Sheeran song before but I really liked it. I added it to my collection.

Once you start getting some guests on and talking about theories and stuff, it will become a lot better. I keep telling Hicks to go down this route.

Funny, I was actually listening to that Jurassic Park podcast last week not realising it was you. Then at the end of the tippett podcast, you mentioned doing an alien podcast and I realised it was you.

Hicks had Tim Lebbon on a couple of eps back, then Charles de Lauzirika a few eps before that.

He means fans - Mike Lynch or someone like yourself. TBF, I did have ADC and Darren Kemp on!

Alien3 - I listened to the first 20 odd minutes on the way to work this morning. I'm enjoying it so far - you have a very radiogenic voice. The music was an interesting choice. I don't think I'd ever do it but it gave the episode a very radio feel to it. Just about to get into the Alien related content which I'll listen to on the way home :)

I promise episode 2 will have a lot more Alien chin-waggery than the first.

The only reason episode 1 was lacking was because I felt rather uncomfortable being on my own.
I need someone to bounce ideas off of really which will be happening in ep2.

I don't have an exact date atm, but Episode 2 should come out either late Feb or early March.

Well my friend Ross was my future co-host and we decided to make the podcast a visual one. These videos cover a lot of what was going to be in future episodes and are essentially the podcast episodes.

One day soon I'll rip the audio from these and upload them as StarBeast podcasts. ;)

Think I might have the rip the audio myself. I only really listen to stuff like this in the car and YouTube uses too much usage on data plans.

How Blomkamp's Alien ideas are non-canon friendly and could potentially deliver the killing blow to the already damaged franchise... :x

We'll cover that when more solid news comes through I think.

Watched most of the videos today, good job on them gotta say you guys make a great podcast team bouncing subjects between yourselves. Loved your views on alien 3 and Prometheus and your own personal ideas for certain things. On the subject of stuff to base an episode on.
How about the upcoming alien 5; about how you feel about blomkamp as a director, the return of Ripley once again to the franchise because in my opinion we need a fresh face. Most importantly how you yourselves would work the story, you guys have a great imagination for stuff like that so I would be good to hear your idea of how it could possibly play out.

They're referred to by official sources as Weyland Industries and Weyland Corporation for both films.

And while I'm nitpicking - on your video you've spelled 'Blomkamp' as 'Bloomkamp' and then pronounce is 'Bloomenkamp'?

Yeah the Industries & Corp thing I was pulling from memory. Still fans of AVP could make some argument using that to keep it canon I guess.

Would have been nice if they landed on one name for the company.
