Blackhole yes I always liked Cornal as a character Minus the stuff with his daughter. Jerec would be cool but I don't really like him as much.  Though From my tracking after crimson Jack the Next character or species that should be jumping to canon is either Lumiya or The Tofs

I'm so glad they managed to shoehorn that overpriced hotel into the lore.  That's what Star Wars has really been missing all these years.

if its anything like the references/tie ins to the park (Battu) were .  they'll mention the name of the star cruiser (hotel) some lore about it then it will just be set dressing while the plot goes on. Im more interested in the Ice castle on the cover as theres only one place on forest moon of  Endor that could be if its not a new planet/location made up for the novel  .

I would like that but sabe and the other handmaidens should be building up the Amidalans resistance group and investigating padme's death. sabe doesn't encounter Vader until after empire strikes back during the year between it and return of the jedi. Sabe joins crimson Dawn until Vader infiltrates that group of crimson dawn and takes it over with ochi of bestoon and Sly Moore.

They look like a bunch of cosplayers photoshoped into generic desert background. They could've been put into a pic of Disneyland and it wouldn't have looked much different
