I remember years ago (dunno, I'd be tempted to say nearly a decade now), back at that other board, gamegossip, where some people said that ALIEN 3's characters who kept saying f*ck really killed the suspension of disbelief, cause it was overdone, and no one would swear like that.

Still moving closer to dystopia and certainly screwing each other over some goddamn percentage more than ever.
People swear on overdrive. Either when it's to be cool, to share excitement, or when people are really pissed off with adrenaline pumped up. Always.
