With the latest Aliens game, Colonial Marines, due out in just over a week we at AvPGalaxy plan to celebrate with a week’s worth of community events!
- Monday 4th February – Aliens Community Watch
- Tuesday 5th February – Alien vs Predator Classic Game Night
- Wednesday 6th February – Alien vs Predator 2 Game Night
- Thursday 7th February – Alien Community Watch
- Friday 8th February – Aliens vs Predator (2010) Survivor Game Night (360)
- Saturday 9th February – Aliens vs Predator (2010) Survivor Game Night (PC)
As some of you may have noticed the AvPGalaxy chatroom is back online. This is to play host to the community chats as we watch the films. All you need to do to take part in the chat is be a registered member of the forum.
AvP Classic night will be via the Steam version of the game. If you haven’t got it already, it can be picked up for a measley price of £2.99. And for those of you that thought AvP2 was dead…think again! So crack that disk out!
All events will begin at approximately 8pm GMT. They’ll be a thread for each event so keep your eyes out on the forum for more details!

AWESOME. Having some difficulties getting AvP2 installed on this computer though... at least I should be able to be there for the AvP 2010 game night.

Might be able to pop in on the AvP classic event- what is it Humans vs Aliens? Xenos vs Humans vs Predators? Or Survivor, without friendly-fire: having the Preds and Humans work together against the AI? Not that I care- I just want a good excuse to play it with some good people. ^_^

I just installed AVP2 and put in my CD-KEY. I have never played MP for AVP2 so I am super stoked. I heard it was really good.

I am super lost with what I need downloaded. Also, my laptop is choosing to play the game in a 4:3 format which it has never done in the past. It's annoying.

The Community Watches are also great; too bad it's too much of a strain on this site's server. :( Also, there are only a limited number of films in this franchise and when you consider the fact that many here despise a handful of them...

You got all the updates D? Server is up and I'm sat alone.
Yeah, I installed that patch. When I go to that server list, it says an update is available but when I click update, it takes me back to windows and it just gives me an error. When I get to the server list, it shows no servers.
Should let you click OK and just go straight into a populated list. Try running the mod again. I ran it twice.
I'm not seeing the server name in the list.

I'm down! I picked up AVP from gamestop a few days ago to play it again, and though I was surprised to see anyone online at all, the multiplayer lobbies were few and far between. Still haven't been able to play a single round of Infestation.

It was a fantastic week sadly I could only show up for four days out of six. Avp classic had a great turnout also aliens screening. I wish more showed up for alien screening but it still was entertaining. I would like to see everyone from avp2010 xbox 360 night to move over to ACM. And continue the tradition of game night. I only saw the second half of Aliens but it was worth it, and the 360 game night was lots of fun.
