Lol That was a fun game. I ran to back a group of you in the tunnels up. You got destroyed as I showed up lol, bad timing for me. Took out 3 of the Aliens that got you...then I got SKed :(

Indeed, often happens to me with Stargate but recently I've been doing well at balancing out.

I really need to get my skills up to par. I went through nearly the whole game bar the last 30 secs as an alien without killing a single marine. Also when we played that mixed species death match and I was the Predator I killed no-one the whole game. I truly suck :'(

Me too. I was awful at COD until I started playing with a bunch on guys online. Now I'm pretty decent and enjoy it more. If I get better I think I will get in to it more, but I have no idea how to go about killing anyone other than sticking a pulse rifle in their general direction and pressing fire, lol.
You've gotta learn to block light attacks and counter heavies with your own light. It's melee system that's most awkward, I think. It's got a learning curve.

Haha, I like both, I had both, they are pretty similar in most ways, the only reason I prefer ps3 is a bigger range in genre for the exclusives. The only enjoyable exclusives on the 360 was the sci fi ones (halo, gears ect.)
So yeah the only reason I would play one over the other is exclusives.
I honestly haven't heard of any PS3 exclusives I'd actually want to play. Not even MGS, or Little Big Planet.
Killzone 2 (soon to be 3) Halo esc, but it is a lot more dark gritty realistic.
(If you like halo you will love this trust me, it is like halo but a lot darker, kinda like a dark scifi shooter, I would choose it over halo anyday, and I really like halo.)
Uncharted 1,2 (soon to be 3) A modern day Everyman, treasure hunter that searches for treasure (real life treasure) A lot like Indiana Jones in a way.
(If you like indiana jones you will like this)
God Of war 3 a lot of Greek mythology in a very movie esc story.

Infamous (soon to be 2) a completely awesome super hero cole with lots of influence from other heroes, he is a epic every man that is turned superhero, pretty awesome, I prefer him to most comic superhereos like batman spiderman.
(I am sure you would love this one, it is like a epic free roam game and I am like 99% Sure you will love this.)

It's been really hard finding games lately, and even though I have both map packs I haven't even got to test any of the new bughunt maps even once! :-[

No, we accommodate everyone. I do recommend getting both map packs though as some of the more popular maps are from them. Tempest and Furious FTW.

I was in that match too, as a marine (Hunterssoldier). Not my finest performance though.
We should play again on a local server Tigon, that way there won't be as much lag.

See where most of your regular players come from, EU/USA, then set the time. You are 5 hours ahead of the east side and 7 hours ahead of the WEST SIDEEEE. *cough*

Most are UK/Europe and I have plenty of folk now. Especially if we continue with turns outs like last week, we'll be doing fine. :)

When I first got Halo 3, I didn't stop playing until after like two years. I got bored after 2 years, and there is so much more to do in Reach. :D See you in 4 years? ;)

I love Reach as well, but I'm perfectly willing to put it down for an hour or two to play some AvP. Unfortunately my timezone severely cripples my opprotunity for gamenights, perhaps I could play a little later, unofficially if need be.

Good news everyone, I might be able to play tonight. I may not be able to join in until 8:30 however, but I should, and I emphasize should, be able to join in.
My NAT type here is Closed and I dunno how to change it, though, so if any problems arise that'll most likely be the cause. :-\

Actually, I said "I went down that hole by mistake."
I'll explain it once again. :D
I was sprinting as an Alien over the two holes in the floor on the Pyramid map, and the Alien went down the hole and I saw Shakermakerman. Since I was chasing Hicks for Revenge after being persecuted I ran away from Shakermakerman, and he shouted for me to come back. I responded with: "I went down that hole by mistake."
Then those twisted individuals changed my words!

If it helps, try pressing the Xbox Guide button, going over to settings, then Preferences, then Voice and set the Voice output to 'Play Through Both' so the voices come through the TV and your Headset.

Was that in Furious? That map made me laugh. I stood in the middle of the furnace, got set on fire, survived it barely when I ran out...survived a Predator mine (i just saw nothing but blue) and then a 2nd mine finally ended up me. That had me laughing.

Yeah a gamenight is an awsome idea since there are 0 people still playin it. Plus it'll be cool playing w/ all you guys on here.
I think that in a few weeks time, I'm going to make one of these game nights a little competition. We'll do a few rounds of DM and the over all winner will get one of these AvP screenshots I had signed last year.
Here's a suggestion, we all know how fun and kick ass the MP modes are but I was lookin 4 survivor matches (the rain level is just plain epic) and apparentley know one plays that anymore at least on the 360. What if we had a "survivor competition"? Like maybe 4 versuses 4 so to speak to see whats the highest wave they can get to. Also just started playin the game again recentley and I love this game man really makes you feel like the species your playin.
Interesting idea but considering Survivor is more about working as a team, I don't feel it'd work because you could just use opportunities like an Alien grabbing another player and killing that Alien to use its acid to kill the player.

Im sayin 4 people playing one game of survivor as a team and another team doing the same. So they would work as a team against another team playing a different game of survivor.

Played some great games yesterday, I'm really into standard Species TDM now.
I had a team of two Aliens (me being one and a rank 5 the other) against a team of two Predators and three Marines, both Predators and two Marines were higher rank than me but using my stealth and careful timing I managed to win, I got 19 points and the guy on my team got 7.
It was a player match, first to 30 kills, 10 minutes.
I was rather proud of myself. ;D

I thought Hicks was on my friends list already since I check if he was on around 3:00 PM EST and see if AVPG game night was happening or not. But it seems like he was not my friends list anymore and I had no idea what was going on today?
Ok guys, i really really think we should move AvP 360 game night to SUNDAY! Im online right now and im playing in full ranked matches and they are flipping fun! I havnt seen this many people online since the games release last year. It looks like a lot of kids got it for christmas and only play on the weekends. I started playing at 3pm Central time and i've been ranking up like crazy. Let me know what you think, cuz i havnt had this much fun with AvP in a long time.
I just send Friend Requests to Hicks, and PBA. I believe 8pm GMT is 3:00 PM EST, I usally busy around that time since I can be either at work or busy working on the PC since I'm a part time graphic desginer. I will would not mind playing around 9:00 PM EST - 2:00 PM EST though.

Hit player matches, lol. There are just as many people playing there. I get full lobbies there too even on weekdays. ::)

I think the time has come for me to stop running game night. I'm fed up of waiting for people to come and then waiting for a game when we get people. I understand people may have been turned off by the game - the matchmaking has finally done that to me. I thoroughly enjoy the good games when we get into one but I no longer look forward to running the game night.
I'll be more than happy to join in with folk when they're on though, just send me an invite (if I'm not in the middle of Reach :P )

No WONDER!! You're still gathering groups and using them to go into matchmaking? lol dude.. f**k that shit. I've been doing player matches since April 2010!! And I get lots of randoms in my games when I'm with friends. F*ck that matchmaking.. why would you still be putting up with it even after June? :D If you just wanted to have fun then you should've been in player matches all along not ranked matchmaking where it's been dead since the summer! ::)

Wednesdays ended up getting too unreliable for me and most of the time I couldn't make it by the end, so if you want to do it on Tuesdays or Thursdays I'll be able to play, I dunno how that is for everyone else though.
