First person shooters nowadays focus more on multiplayer than any other part of the game, if there only were more offline modes for this game other than campaign.

So after taking a look at the game modes listed, I think it would be a great idea for Rebellion to add in a few more game modes through use of DLC.  Other than MP maps of SP expansion which is a given, I hope some fresh, new game modes can make it into the mix!  Here are some ideas!

Predators
Basically, it is an all Predator FFA match.  For each player, they are given another Predator to hunt.  Let's just call them his "target".  The only way to score is to hunt and kill his target.  Every player is randomly given a target.  So it would be possible for everyone to have a different target, or everyone to have the same target, or some to have the same with others not being the target at all, etc...  You hunt and kill til the end.  You only score for killing your target, and gain nothing or possibly even lose points for randomly killing players that is not your target.

AvP Hunt
Basically think Predator Hunt, except you add in a single Alien to the mix.  Same rules as Predator Hunt, except now you have an Alien to worry about as well.

Get To The Choppa!
I couldn't resist naming this game mode that because the name of it is exactly what you are supposed to do.  A team of marines must get from point A to point B with a couple Predators stalking them.  One life per round.  All marine players start with only a pistol and maybe have a single pulse rifle for one of them to grab.  Those who make it to point B gain points, while the Preds score points per kill.  Maybe have 3 -5 rounds total with each player being randomly selected as Preds.  Would be really frantic if you ask me!

Command
2 teams.  Aliens and Marines.  Each team has a leader.  You are allowed as many lives as possible as long as your leader is alive (he/she only has 1 life).  The whole point is to kill the opposing team's leader so the enemy can no longer respawn, and finish them off for good.  Maybe have 4 rounds, with each team being the Aliens and the Marines twice.  Think Gears of War 2's "Guardian".


These are all just simple ideas I threw together in an effort to breathe new life into the game, unless Rebellion already has ideas up their sleeves.  I think these would all be great additions to the multiplayer aspect of the game, not focusing on new maps which is a given.  Feel free to throw out any other unique ideas.  Try to make them stand out.  And I kept Evac out because I want to hear new ideas.  Hopefully Rebellion takes a look at this because I think they could use some more unique game modes.

Manhood Ritual

This is pretty much the first AvP Movie's scenario.

Playable Race: Predators

Mode: Co-op/3-5 Players

Map: Pyramid

Starting Weapons: Wristblades / Spear / Disc

Weapons that you can aquire at the centre of the Pyramid: Plasma Caster / Proximity Mines

Objectives: - Enter Pyramid / - Slay an Alien and claim your Trophy / - restore order by putting the Queen back into cold sleep / - slay remaining Aliens that try to escape the Pyramid / - leave the Pyramid

Depending on difficulty, the objectives would change. For example, if you play the Mode on hard, you'd have to fight Queen instead of putting her back to sleep. Maybe I'd even mix the Infestation Mode into it, so that every Predator player that got Facehugged, returns as a Predalien.


Predator Survivor

Playable Race: Predators (duh...  :P)

Mode: Co-op/3-5 Players

Map: Pyramid

Starting Weapons: All

You start at the centre of the Pyramid and the Alien's numbers have become overhelming. You have to fight your way out and on top of the Pyramid, where you'll make your last stand. You can't win, the objective is to hold out as long as you can, kill as many Aliens as you can and make the highscore.

Infiltration

Races: Alien/Predator

Goal: Get to the waypoint without being detected, with as few kills as possible.

Players: 1-2 co-op.

Very simmelar to Mw2's sneaking missions in Spec Ops

why would you want more than 1 player for that. one can sneak better than 4.

i would like to see ASS RANDOM. (title in progress)  it would be like normal death match but at random times a bunch of AI aliens are let loose with one life each. if one of these marked aliens kill you you loose 2 points from your score, but you get no points for killing them. you would want to kill one atticking you but wouldn't kill one attacking another player. it could work with preds too.

Okay as far as modes go, I'd like to see this:

WAR: All three species have objectives that need to be completed in order to win. The Predators must: Kill the Alien Queen (possible NPC), retrieve fallen Predator equipment, and set a human installation to explode. The Aliens must: Protect the queen, cocoon/impregnate unarmed colonists (NPC's), and cut the power generators. The Marines must: Seal off main complex, retrieve a black box from a wrecked ship, and escape on their drop ship.

Map making tools (Cross your fingers).


Wishful thinking that probably isn't going to happen:

Alien is able to cocoon incapacitated players.

Marine is able to duct tape a Flamethrower and Pulse Rifle together. Has a Trophy kill with the Shotgun "Eat this!".

Predator receives the Netgun, Whip, and Spear Gun.

I just had an idea inspired by a post i just saw about either a new mode or how TDM should be.Say itl like in the predator demo were he has to get into the marine base to do his abjective instead of that how about the Marines spawn inside of the base and they have to protect the electric genorator. The electric generator would give the marines these advantges. electric gates and fences. Turrets. lights. If the marines have half a brain theyll protect it with their lives. Then the Predators spawn at say the North of the map with the Xenomorphs spawn at the South. with the base in the middle were the marine spawn is. This would encourage the Marines to defend the base while mostly preventing the Preds and Xenos from just killing eachother. and gives them a reason to attack marines. Also the defending side could easily vary. it could also be protect the hive and protect the temple.obviously the marines will have a advantage while the generator is on (to make up for there being only six of them if the devs decide this as deathmatch. for the hive the aliens could get passageways(via vents holes etc.) camofluage. and the hive would be heavuly suited toward the aliens enviromentalyy. they would have to protect the eggs. then the preds could have generator in rooms that aliens nor humans could acces. envirometn suited towards them and maybe secret passages.

I like the idea, it's a kind of conquest mode, but with a defensive side.
It's actually like the avatar game. Avatar game sucked, but i liked that game mode. Would really be a great mode main!. ;)

I also think the divide should be like this.

18 players in the game.

6 Marines.

8 Aliens.

4 Predators.

Aliens are numerous, and should outnumber the marines. HOWEVER, as you stated, the marines will have electric fencing and turrets to assist them, so, the numerical disadvantage evens itself out. Also, the turret should detect motion, so Predators can't run past them, and instead need to find alternate routes.

I would also design the map so there are a few snipers or a smartgun lying about, I think that would be very useful. I would definitely play this game mode.

It would be better if it was an attack and defend game, instead of just deathmatch. For example you could have the marines defending a VIP for a certain amount of time, and the aliens and predators would have to kill that person. It could be a scientist for the mercs, and a queen for the aliens. I have no idea about the predators though.

Basically if the marines defend their VIP until a timer runs out, their team wins. If the aliens kill the VIP, their team wins. And if the preds get him, their team wins.

The marines would basically just be defending, but there would be some interesting fights between the aliens/preds as they tried to slow each other down.

theres a problem unless your in a clan, youll have poeple going around going ramob. also all it takes is a predator to stealth kill the vip(very easy if 6 people are trying ot do it ath the same time) also teh VIP will need AI. Plus about the Alien Queen, how strong should she be? iF shes a tank the aliens will be OPed if she can be stealth killed then shes useless and if shes a normal alien then its poitnless shell die. Finally what will happen is that the Xenos and preds will mindlessly try to stealth kill a defenceless(for the marines) directionles ai. It will be too easy. What will happen in a match is that the preds and cenos rush the ai until somebody manages to kill it. while whoevers defeniding cant do squat. My suggestion. requires no stupid ai reasons to actually defend and a advantage to the defenders to even it out. Also what happens if the VIP or queen wallks into. KILL ME PRETTY PRETTY PLEASE! central. if they stay still then the attackers have a easier time. Escort mission are not fun and are tedious.
