It's on sale right now for $20 and I just bought it on impulse.  Did I make a mistake?

No.  It''s a more than solid remake. My only disappointment was no scenario b.

Is there a New Game+ so I can replay it with unlimited ammo like in RE5?  I love that.

Yes, but you have to meet certain parameters in your playthrough.

Finished Leon's campaign and blasted through Claire's pretty damn quick after that. Overall, I enjoyed it. Very old school sort of gameplay solving puzzles and managing inventory. Reminds me of Resident Evil 4 on the Wii which I never finished. Only thing that wound me up was that Tyrant guy. The guy just never gives up chasing you.

Si si they have been working on RE3. It's rumored to release in 2020 but that hasn't been confirmed.

I would loooooooove for them to remake Code Veronica! That's my favorite from the series.

Code Veronica is one I've never beaten.  I never personally had it, and when I did borrow/rent it, I ALWAYS ran out of ammo super early in the game.

Remake 2 was great fun to play, but  the story was weak compared to the original. The OG RE3 was very short and put together at the last minute so I think they have more scope to play around with this one. I expect 3make to be quite radically different to the original.
