Just read about this in Game Informer, is this true? Where can I find more info about this?
http://www.google.com/ (http://www.google.com/)
I meant on this site: www.avpgalaxy.net (http://www.avpgalaxy.net).
Yellow Alien just got xed punked
Did people here already know about this? I may remember some small mention, but I don't think the News section mentoned too much about this; more attention was focused on A:CM. Either that, or I imagined reading about it here.
Yeah I think most forgot about it. I'm actually really excited for it. I mean, a horror game based on the first movie? I cant friggin wait. Hoping for a dead space type game.

That reminds me of the Aliens Crucible game that got cancelled.

I'm trying to think about how a game like this would work without feeling like
Aliens. I mean, Alien only had one xeno and a killer atmosphere. Modern gamers may find the build up of a true horror based atmosphere and the hunt for one xeno utterly boring. The only solution is to look for
Aliens for inspiration.
Of course, I doubt a game like this would be allowed to even happen. I can only imagine that what they mean by basing a game off the first movie would mean that they will use the derelict as we saw it in
Alien as a main locale and just end up throwing a bunch of xenos at us after awhile...or it could be a spin-off of whatever happens in
Prometheus.
Found a link on this site to info about this game:

Dead space had weapons. Also not scary enough.
I'm thinking
Amnesia The Dark Descent, but on a ship and with a single xeno. If pulled off properly, imagine the amount of "reaction" videos that will crop up on youtube
If they want it to be another "red dead" it would have to be a lot larger than the nostromo story. I would say it has more of the feel of A L I E N as opposed to Aliens, not necessarily a replay of events.

If done properly that would be epic. I'm not familiar with this "creative assembly" company, so I don't know if they make quality games or not.
Could be something like this... Would it be super cool if you could choose who you wanted to be in this game.
Playable Characters (humans/ Android)
-Ripley
-DALLAS
-KANE,
-ASH
You can choose these as the Nostromo crew and walk about the hole Nostromo craft , mess about with buttons, sleep, cook, eat,fly to different planets (you can actually pilot the craft your self).
Each character has their own unique accessories. (ill leave you guys to figure them out ;) )
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Other playable characters (Xenos and Jockeys, face huggers) :
-Xeno (warrior)
-Xeno (Dog Alien) ino it wasnt in this movie but still a awesome xeno :)
-Queen Alien (you can actually make her lay her own eggs too and ino she also is not in this film she would be also great addition :) )
-Face hugger
-Space jockey
You start on LV-426, if you are a xeno, queen or Hugger you start in under ground caves where you can wonder around for ever, they are that big.
If you are a Jockey you start in your craft (the derelict) where you can walk about look at different compartments like the armoury room, telescope room, the "EGG" room and many more. Like the Nostromo you can also pilot this craft :).
Like the Nostromo crew the jockey has his own unique range of equipment and weapons to use :).
Hope you guys like :)
I read about creative assembly making the game yesterday or so I was quite suprised but really excited considering I'm a HUGE total war fan and have all of them.
though obviously it will be a diffrent kind of game haha I can only imagine.....Aliens:Total War
3000 aliens on a planet vs 3000 marines =D
but no hehe I heard it will be a Shooter =]
I'd love to see what they come up with. :)
Creative Assembly's Aliens game: 'It's awesome, apparently.'
But the developers themselves remain tight-lipped.
Creative Assembly's mysterious Aliens game is generating a "rare" degree of internal excitement, according to a SEGA PR rep.
Yesterday we visited Creative Assembly to check out Fall of the Samurai – the latest expansion for Shogun 2 - Total War. While there we did our best to find out what's going on with the Aliens project, which has been cloaked in secrecy since its announcement last May.
Unsurprisingly, everyone stayed tight-lipped – but the SEGA rep did give us this to mull over:
"What I can say, from what I've heard there's a lot of excitement about it. It's rare that we get people buzzing around the watercooler as much about a game, but it's awesome, apparently."
Granted, this a startling example of a SEGA PR officer saying nice things about a SEGA-published game, but it's still promising news.
Fans of political tomfoolery will recall that the surprise reveal for the game was spoiled by a careless tweet from Tory MP Ed Vaizey.
At the time, Creative Assembly director Tim Heaton told VideoGamer.com that the studio is aiming for review scores of 90% and above.

Any news on this?
I know this is a very old topic but since A:CM was a bad surprise,do we have anything new about the new Alien game?
Will it be released for PC too? Will it be a FPS?

"That game looks amazing. Very dark, very slow (in a good way). The textures and lighting look really really good. I've seen it running on a PC. The PS4 devkit looks like a computer. It looks as good, if not better, running as any super high end pc. We did not have those controllers, but they look like what was promised."

Wait, so the PS4 looks even better than PCs?
I hope it's based on the Director's Cut where people morph into eggs and that it uses the Black-DNA mutagen to create some terrifying new things.
They are hiring for a producer for the "AAA" Alien game... I'm really tempted to apply, does anyone work in the industry? I'm a project manager for ERP implementations at the moment for one of the big 4, do I have a chance to get in?
Big 4? Whos the fourth?

Not a chance in hell. I'm sure the PS4 and XBOX 3 will look better than most mid ranged home PC's, but any dedicated rig will kick the living shit out of them. That's not PC master race elitism, it's simple economics. If the consoles really want to be on par with an £700-1000 gaming rig, then they'll be made of the same components and cost £700-£1000, which I very much doubt the console market would support those sort of prices.
Just look at the new GTX Titan, an £800 graphics card designed to work in Cray super computers, consoles simply cannot ever match up to that sort of tech power. Sure, that's an OTT example, but trying to compare consoles and gaming PC's is like comparing apples and oranges, they'll never be the same, let alone consoles being better/more powerful.

KPMG, PwC, Deloitte and Ernst and Young are the Big 4 professional service companies (which one is number one depends on which country you live in).
I started looking into the producer role, it sounds like a project management role which is what I do but there is a major problem, salaries in the gaming sector are insanely low! I'm not sure I could (even if I could get the job) take a 50% pay cut to do it and still live in London :-(
First little tidbit of what the game looks like in the lower left. Looks like a patch similar to the Nostromo's.

^Fact. However, I am also not a fanboy for any console or PC. in terms of processing power etc., it's just not logically possible for the new gaming consoles to be anywhere near as visually powerful as the most dedicated gaming PC.

Yeah! 8)
But I SWEAR, if I hear anyone from the Dev team say ' I'm a fan of the series. So you can expect it to be GREAT! ' I will ignore any and ALL news until I play it myself. I have heard this sentiment before; from various writers, directors, game makers, producers, etc. that it usually only ever winds up true 0.01% of the time.
I would like to see a game like what all of you listed. But the main thing I would like is that it is based on Ridley Scott's alien cycle where it was just egg to chestburster to cacoon to alien adult.
It should be like this:

My 2c on this is don't forget about the other features. One of the big reasons I bought a PS3 was for the blu ray and HD games. Sony may well announce some feature like 4k support, although admittedly the right now if there is no change the ps4 is quite lacking, but I also think Sony are quite good at listening to feedback - remember the whole dual shock thing with the ps3 - they reacted to that fairly fast.
