JRPG's don't have the freedom of choice about character backgrounds, alignments, own physical features etc that American ones do, but this one so far is loaded with stuff to do. Haven't even left the starting area yet and have played six plus hours. I can already tell its going to take me forever to get finished because I keep getting sidetracked, but then my body won't let me play forever like it used to.

Never played the first one, but it was a top down shooter that released almost a decade ago. Seemed to have a small but loyal fanbase, but nothing compared to how the massive success that Helldivers 2 has been right out the gate.
Anyways, on that note, Helldivers 2 remains the game I'm currently playing.
