Looking forward to it. I mostly care about how this game's story will play, so this is right up my alley.
Oh yeah!!!! More more Info! :)
Looking forward to it. The story will be the most important thing in this game.
Will be good to see how well animated the human characters are, if they show any in game.

If the campaign is really 10-12 hours, I would hope for some plot development and human foes.
Killer androids?

Good stuff, buy way too short
LOVING the look of Amanda Ripley. I am pulling hard for this game to succeed. ACM paved the way for this game to be welcomed with open arms, it's up to CA to get it right.
This keeps getting better and better!

This looks awesome!
Seems as if the speculation about deliberately crafting the CGI character to look like this or that person has now been disproven. It's just the voice actress' likeness captured/rendered in digital form.
Was interested to know more about the characters, but this video didn't really tell us anything about them, strangely enough.

your right it told us nothing.
That was a nice little taste. I dig that they used real actors; hopefully that means the characters move like real people, rather than the marionette-like trash we still see in so many AAA games today.
As far as not telling us much, I agree and disagree. We learned a bit more about Ripley's motivations, which was nice. I'm definitely getting a Prometheus vibe with the whole "still searching for answers" angle, even though it's certainly not on such an existential scale.
I'm becoming scared about how this will look on the X360.... :-[
yupp...boner confirmed
Nice enough trailer, seems to confirm we're getting cinematic cutscenes too.
Wonder what's up with Amanda getting her head shaved though, can't imagine there's any lice on the Sevastopol.

I wondered about that, too.
Loved the video, though.
Also, it
sure looks like the Sevastopol is orbiting a certain familiar planetoid...

That wasn't just a test of the model before adding the hair on? I like how Amanda had blood dripping from the nose, just like Ripley during Ash's attack in ALIEN, or the funeral in ALIEN 3.
I'm just happy they're going for realism and providing a serious take on the universe. Something like this probably should have been a new movie in the series. It looks to be way more appealing than anything that's come out in this franchise for a long time.
Also worth noting that the game's writer, Dan Abnett, has done a good amount of work, including some original stuff and work for Marvel.
This gives me hopes that we will get a good story.

How often to licensees go for something other than "realism" and a "serious take"?

Prometheus. :P But mostly the AvP films and A:R though. Who knows if they were pitched as serious films but they sure didn't turn out that way. It's nice to have something more in line with the original film is all I'm saying.
It's called Creating the Cast for a reason... As we see in the video, it shows the developers designing and bringing the actor's likeness into the game. There is still time until the game comes out, and especially with E3 next month. There is still more information we will receive. I rather have these videos be short and released over periods of time until the release. And yes, she is bald because they're showing off the polygons and what not since the game is on the newer PS4 and Xbox One...
Good stuff, I at least know that Amanda isn't the only human character at the station (besides the voice in the headset).
Nice videos and it looks promising. I guess I can buy that the Nostromo might have ejected a flight recorder pre-detonation, as standard protocol or something. This game better explain why the company didn't go back to LV-426 after they found it, though.
I'm honestly expecting a level of linearity similar to the Bioshock series, which had a decent amount of free-roaming and backtracking, but when it came to characters was mostly instance and room-based, scripted stuff.
That will be fine so long as the Alien has a degree of randomness to its' behavior, and the writing is solid.
It's like a big secret that if they put some effort into developing real characters with decent writing, their demise adds to the horror immensely.
I think the game will cover why the Company didn't know about the location, despite the blackbox.

That could be 2 birds 1 stone, explaining the game itself and that glaring, strange flaw in Aliens as to why the company never sent another ship if they knew there was an organism.
It's not glaring.
It just says there was one or a small group of individulas responsible for SO 937 and they didn't want to get found out when it resulted in the loss of a ship.
It looks good, but they barely show us anything. Seems appropriate, given that the movie the game is based off of is Alien. They're giving us a little taste and relying on our imaginations to do the rest of the work. I like this, but I also hate it cause I wanna see more. : /

My guess would be that Seegson Synthetics are a rival to Weylan-Yutani and that they found the flight recorder and decided to copy the data and decrypt it themselves before handing it over to WY. A form of industrial or corporate espionage if you will.
Perhaps they saw the co-ordinates where the Nostromo last set down and decided to go and have a look-see what a 63 000 metric ton commercial towing vessel from a rival company was doing out in the boondocks.
Perhaps Seegson sent out a few guys to check out the landing site, picked up the derelict's beacon and someone got hugged. Perhaps everyone panicked and rushed the rape patient back to Sevastopol station which in turn might explain why there is a solitary alien roaming the station when Amanda arrives.
First impression, the characters look great. Far better than the stilted and weirdly proportioned characters in Colonial Marines. Some of the facial animation looks like it still needs a bit of work, but overall everything is impressive.
Remember, everything is "pre-alpha". : P

The 360 is 9 years old. I will probably have the One or PS4 by the time this is out.

Well, they did go back...to colonize.
I wish I had enough money to buy another console (I just bought a Wii U)...
The most striking thing about this trailer to me (in case my post over in the Literature section was TLDR) was comparing some of what we saw to the upcoming comics:
