Oh yes, this is the kind of footage I’m looking forward to. Apple.com have posted two Alien vs Predator clips – one of which is the Alien-Predator Fight we saw before but a new one entitled “Face Off“. Well, I think pictures speak louder than words so take a look at this image:

While the Celtic Predator is busy fighting with Lex, Sebastian and Weyland, the Predator with the slits on its mask, goes after Lex and while cloaked, gets impaled with an Alien’s tail. There’s a couple more pictures on the next page but check out the Face Off Gallery for an additional 32 screenshots. Thanks to The Dead Knight for the news.

That last pic of the tail going through the cloaked pred is BOGGLING MY MIND!!! I love u paul anderson i love you!

I said it in the other thread, but I'll say it again.  IMO, that's the coolest, most evil, cinematic entrance an alien has made in its entire franchise so far.  I love it.     8)

The scene was wicked, my only gripe is the alien tail on a drone is not that long. Did you see how far from the shadows the alien tail was? Damn I was expecting it to be a queen at that lenght.    ???   That's all I gotta say, it would've fit in more if it was a queen or the drone was closer, that tail is not that long when you look at the drone in all the movies.   ???  

I LOVE how the Alien appears from the shadows just as it impales the Predator, really good scene..

I'm already thinking that the aliens in this movie are much better represented than they were in A:R.

That was cool.  Pays homage to the Queen/Bishop scene in Aliens.  The cinematographer has done an excellrnt job as well.  Beautiful clear colors.

1 more thing, and who says PG13 has no blood? haha! That was great!   ;D   The movie is gonna rock even at Pg13 guys!   ;D     8)  

yeah i thought the swords were only for the toy figures.  so i guess they do have it after all.

Apparently the swords are just what that one particular pred chose to bring with him instead of claws.

Brilliant,    ;D     There is perhaps one   tiny thing I wasn't sure about was when the Predator lept up to its feet, hmmm, a bit dodgy but thats hardily nothing ...   ... BRILLIANT, SIMPLE AS. I STILL CAN'T BELIEVE I'VE JUST SEEN A PRED AND ALIEN EXCHANGE BLOWS   ;D     ;D     ;D     ;D  

Its amazing how strong an alien tail is.  It alien and aliens they did not so their strengthn at all.  Its a pinty the Predators could not have stronger armour even with their advancment in tech side. You would think they would have better armour.

Visually, this movie is going to rival the previous ones -- and that's saying a lot.  Beautiful cinematogtaphy.  Obviously the editing here isn't complete (judging by that quick flash of Seabass in Predator vision), however I've still got a couple complaints about the camerawork.  1. The camera shaking in time with Celtic's steps.  Sure this guy's huge, but he's not Godzilla.  These shots make me dizzy.  2. The zoom-in on Lex, complete with whoosh! sound.  Cheesy.  I don't think these stylized action shots belong in this movie, as some of the strength of the previous films came from the camerawork being almost documentary-like.  As was the case with Alien: Resurrection, this just seems to take you out of the movie and remind you that it's not real.  But I'm nitpicking.  These few gripes have nothing against all the great stuff going on here.  I can't wait for Friday!

OMG!!! Guill dies!!!! that alien have a strong tail man! he lift the pred so easy and by the way u noticed that guill have different claws! not twin claws some sort of two long blades one on each arm! well celtic is cool too he just comes and hit all of them.   :)  

Thats what I wanted to see, bloody Alien and Pred action.  I think this may be the clip to silence most of the bitchy fans and sway over the "I like the movie depending on what news article I read" fans. The Aliens entrance is extremely cool, I just hope Scar has a cool entrance as well.  The Pred's didn't seem very blocky in this clip, so shudup Harry Knowles....lol...        Very nice clip

I do get what Acidglow is sayin, that tail is extremely long...but is was still awesome...Friiday night count on me bein in the theater!

Maybe the Preds limit the armor given to the "younglings" to make a more challenging hunt. This may make the rite into manhood more deserved and could make much better hunters. Just a though tho, like the melting wristblades being a challenge for the Preds to learn tactics and to use hunter techniques to overcome powerful foes.    ;D  

The CGI in the fight scenes is off the roof, DAMN!   ;D       THAT ALIEN TAIL IS IMPRESSIVE, the detail on that thing, man ... THE ALPHA ALIEN HAS SPOKEN, first blood!  ... man!

Looks like there will be three preds instead of five.  Geeze man, these two preds are going to die in the same scene if it follows the book.  That was kinda quick.  And that alpha Alien is badass.  Just imagine what the queen is gonna ber able to do.

You guys are missing out on something! 1.  HOW THE HELL does a alien lift a pred with its tail!?  A pred wieghs so much more then a alien and the alien is lifing a pred with its TAIL?  and its far from its body, so thats even more imposibal!  I read the novel but didnt think of it to bad until i saw it.   Persoanlly its cool but really stupid.

ANd in ALIENS, the aliens were lifting those marines like if they were plush toys, and with all their armor on and all, those marines were probably around 250 pounds easily.

COOKIES the ALIENS CAN BE STRONG TOO, geez, they bulldoze through steel walls, in Alien3 Dillon can't even move  the Alien off of him, In Aliens when Dietrich gets nabbed by the Alien it barely even leaves the wall, not to mention in Alien it picks up Brett like a piece of paper. This is one badass clip, PERFECT! This movie will own.

Yo, like a pred twirls an alien and throws it 50 feet away, the alien lifts the pred with its tail. Thats the alpha alien. The biggest one. Its ok if he lifts him.  That was the most beuatifull thing i saw in my life. Clip 1: pred kicks ass. Clip 2: Alien kicks ass.  WHAT AN ENTRANCE FOR GRID  Paulie knows that he doesnt live through the night if he doesnt make a good movie. I think he understood this lesson(although its a clip)

250... how much does a pred wiegh with all his armour?  a ton?  Ok even so in those movies they got lifted close to the aliens body.  And most were with its arms.  Now lifing something that heavy with the tail away from the aliens body wight is imposibal!! a alien wieghs... 300 pounds?  do the math.  IMPOSIBAL!!!

That was a sweet clip, only i wish they used the Original Predator vision "zwaow" sound when switching to predator vision. maybe they will use it else where in the movie, i can only hope.  the invisibility shield looks much cleaner in this movie.  overall a sweet lil clip, just wish the music was better. i really wish they could have incorporated the Predator Theme in there, Alan Silvestri's ominous score is so needed in the predator shots.

yea i thought the alien tail looked a little long in the clip, maybe it isnt too long, all i know is that is one strong tail.

hey cookie, look again man, the aliens that were getting the marines with their arms, how do ya think they were going up with ????? THEIR TAILS. SO they had the weight of the marines plus their own wieght, combine those and you have a weight of about 550-600 pounds !!  Now that pred is not weighting more than 500 pounds, plus the armor would be around maybe wah 600 pounds. Cuz remember that in P2, the metal that they discovered was almost weightless. So that armor of the preds is mostly as light as that metal thing. SO for the entire armor let say 50-100 pounds + the weight of tha pred. = about 600pounds. there ya go. And dont forget that the aliens has an exoskeleton, so no inner bones, so everything beneeth that shell is all muscles and nervs. and that tail was real big = alot of strenght. There ya go. as logical as it could be.

Yeah I agree with the lack of "Zwaowness" in the pred vision I also hope this is in the final , and also it was screaming from some themes from Alan Silvestri's score for sure !

Damn Cookies... talk about grasping for straws...  is there even the slightest chance you'll be able to see this movie in the theater with an open mind?  Or are you gonna be one of those people in the theater that yells out "LAME" everytime the movie shows an Alien doing something that you don't think is possible?  And one last thing... how much can an Alien lift with it's tail?  Do you know what the stress limit is on the Alien's bone structure?  For that matter... how much does a Predator weigh?  You mentioned do the math... so I'm gonna take it one step further and give me concrete evidence, as displayed in the four Alien films and two Predator films.  In your answer, stick to what has been revealed in the films with as little "assumption" as possible, please.  Give me concrete answers to these questions (fact heavy and assumption light) and maybe some of us here will see what your doing as bringing up valid critiques/points rather than nit-picking for nit-pickings sake.  Otherwise sit back and enjoy the ride the movie is gonna take you on.  You'll end up enjoying the film a lot more if you stop trying to nit-pick.  ;-)

As for the length of the Alien's tail in that Face-Off shot, I'll agree it appears to be a bit large, but that could be attributed to the camera angle and/or camera lens used to film the shot (it's a common cinemtography technique...)

bravo  Scenes like this just assure me that if nothing else, this movie's going to be a lot of fun to see.  More-so than Alien 3 or Resurrection

Am I going nuts here - but does "Vlad the impaled" extend his left blade only for it to be on his right wrist from when he's skewered onwards?  And yeah - I know he's turned around by the tail - s' just darned hard to make out which way he's facing - still - can't believe they'd make THAT sort of mistake.  Whaddya think guys (n gurlz) - have I had too much Tequila?

so let me see this if there are only four preds in the movie in the current timeline celtic ,gill ,scar and elder.

so lets see gill buys it from behing. celtic is the one that gets headbitten by Grid or gets overpowerd by several and gets fachehugged so that later scar kills him. or maybe scar is the one to get facehuged dies by injuries and later bursted so elder lives on rigth? preds geting their ass kicked big time seing scar only kills one alien in mano a mano combat!

I'd think the Elder is there to 'blood' them. In the books only an Elder was allowed to 'blood' a warrior during the ceremony, but in the book, Scar bloods himself. So, hmmm....good question. Maybe he's there to just hand the spear over to Lex like the book says. Who knows.

I think that "Alien-Predator fight" follows right after "Face off". The reason I know that is that the alien with Gills is staying on the wall by that huge orange coin thingy..... And in the second clip, "Alien-Predator fight", the alien jumpls from exactly that place.... I dunno though...I could be wrong..........

And guys, gill disurved to die why????????? 1- he was atking a prey that had no weapons 2- he stood cloaked all the time not giving any chances to the prey to defend itself. 3- if the alien hadnt killed him, scar would certainly had killed this dishonored pred.   So he disurved to die. He was like the pred in P2, not following any rules what so ever. He disurved to die in that painfull death MUAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA

Now thats what im talkin aboot baby !, this clip can put all our worries to rest and be assured that we'll be blessed with all the gory goodness from the aliens and predators that many of us including myself were sceptical about not being seen in a pg 13 movie.Im glad to also see those sweet arm blades that were first shown in the Mcfarlane AVP toys, now the only thing that I wonder about is ,who's idea it was to make the preds blade cloak with the rest of its body.In the first two movies anytime the preds wrist blades unsheethed they became uncloaked and visible.Now im not complaining , totaly the oposite i always thought they should have kept them cloaked myself but now they finaly did it and it looks even cooler, it makes the pred harder to make out and now exactly what the hell your looking at.Best part was the florecent green  tidal wave of hot glowing pred gore flying through the air, man who would have thought the warrior aliens tails were powerful enough to hoist up a 300 puond pred 10 feet into the air    ???  .I thought the quenn would be the only one powerful enough to do that, but its looks bad ass non the less.Man im so glad I live in North America and onlyhave to wait 4 more days .WWWoooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo oooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo ooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo.Man me and my dad are looking forward to this slaughter fest big time as well as my friends.Now the only thing that will give this movie a bad rap so to speak is it PG 13 tagline, but for us fans lucky enough to see clips like these realy puts the faith and hope back into this film now dosnt it.Im not saying this film will be perfect or the best movie ever but it should kick some major ass thats for sure.If we keep getting more clips with reassuring action and viollent death like this one then im sure NO one will have anything to complain about.I know I had my arguments and problems with this movie and still do but after seeing these clips over the past couple of days has limited my complaints drasticly.I also just ordered that sweet adi AVP effects book.Cant wait for the mo fo.   Does anyone know what questions were asked to Anderson tonight on the xtream desktop thingy? hm.... very good clip for the most part, the preds and the aliens look great. the only thing that irks me is that the preds didnt kill any of those silly humans. although lex did get messed up. you think she would be more hurt then that

i cant wait to see these different types of predvision  hopefully there is the old thermographic vision and cool sound fx that went with it  yet i must admit that the current type of thermal imaging used in the movies and our army is pretty kick ass once they color it        because these thermal images are usually black with heat being white

Cool pics, but why did that Predator had to die nooooooo!!!!!! That Alien must die no offense for those who likes the Aliens, but that Alien must die.  Really good job so far this movie is going to rock.

Anyone remember when everybody seemed to be complaining that there was no pred cloaking in this movie?  And now we see what the actual cloaking looks like and it's extremely well done.

this cg and the cloaking effect is done frekin masterfully, frekin beautiful stuff man...

Scene looked nice; however, Lex could have used some blood coming out o her nose or mouth.  I mean come on, did you see the Celtic preds boots in that clip?  If gills were anything like them, then Lex would be hurtin more.

Liked the clip.  The movie still hasn't got me sold on beating out Aliens, but I'll see on the 13th.  Good things:   1)Music was actually cool 2)Good cinematography 3)Great effects 4)Good action  Bad things: 1)Alien tail too long 2)No blood on Lex; she took the hit too well 3)Where the heck did that huge blade come from?  How does it fit in that little thing? 4)Acting so so, wish Lex showed more fear like in the other photos.

yeah if you look at mcfarlanes pred figures  the long more blade like attachments attach onto the outside of the forearms  what i wonder is     like where does the extra length in the gauntlet's blades come from      when the gauntlet is ounly about a foot long on a pred but when the blades are totally extended     they are about 3 feet long

About Lex without spitting out blood well look how she gets hit.  If you look at it a couple times Celtic hits her by the side. Then she gets kicked in the stomach by Gills. I thought the cloaking was great and what was Sebastion thinking hitting him in the stomach hello he is not going to feel that HAHAHAHA GO Celtic Predator.  Yeah the tail is kind of long, but who cares it was great even though I feel sorry for Gills NOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!  I can't wait and a good way of representing the alien in the shadows the way it is in the other movies.  Except AR and A3. Like I said this movie is going to rock.  I just wish how long it is now.

No there has got to be at least two Aliens in that scene.  Why?  Look at the position that Lex is in when Gill gets impailed.  She is in the position where she takes the spear and stabs the Alien.  SO maybe that Alien drops down and gets impailed(what comes around goes around...lol).  THen another Alien attacks Celtic.

You know, even though Gill is cloaked in that clip, he seems to move much more like the pred from Predator 2, and doesn't seem quite so bulky as Celtic.    And again, I have to say that I absolutely love how they worked the cloaking.  When it's sparking and shutting down, it looks perfect.  And the tail coming through his chest, covered in glowing blood, looks really nice also.  Now if only they could fix those mysterious disappearing stones when the alien's being thrown around in the second clip.     :-\

Hey sand, weak man. that would resume as i said the preds r using tech so the aliens r countering it by atking in packs. Like a man armed  with a gun vs a guy with a knife, who will win , the gun. How to counter it? ambushed or sneek atk. Just like the aliens r doin. They use diff tactics for diff preys. and not to have to kill the prey if its strong enough like the preds, they will try to use it as an host by overwhelming it. To be able to pin him down and voila ! a new alien will soon be born . ehehe as simple as that.

That was awesome, the tail was a little long, but that is problaly grid and grid problaly longer tail. And i love how they leave it at a cliffhanger ending. I Never though Paul Anderson could make a good movie.

I can't believe everyone thinks this movie is just unbelievably awsome. What is everyone on this site, 12? Wicked! I haven't sed that phrase for 10 yrs. The face-off clip was ok at best. Why didn't the predator kill that one guy it picked up. He shoulda snapped his puny neck. The Predators are slow as hell in this movie unlike the last 2. They make slow movements. And the music is terrible. It doesn't make the movie suspensfull or pump you up in an action scene at all. I hope to god Anderson doens't f**k this one up with ok to poor fight scenes.

ive been slow motioning the whole celtic and alien fight the part when the pred is trying to slash the alien while hes standing up the blades go to a close up and u can see as u slow mo it the blades are being held together by something in between them i the blade while look wide and skiny  together at times just watch all the details u can as u slow mo it im not complaining im just noticing stuff.

You have a good point Emilio.  I like these clips but they are still nothing compared to the original movies.  The fact is Anderson can't out class the original directors.  Let's just hope this movie does well on it's own and does'nt  just become another pointless chapter in both franchises.

Gill has a single blade Melee weapon justdave.  He's a TEEN Pred so he's not as skillful as his elders.  He just got careless and the Alien got him in his blind spot.  Face to face Gill would of had a better chance.

I agree  The cloaking effects are better then I could have imagined.  The light refracting through it is great.  The image of Lex seen throught the Gill Predator was nicely done.  Everything looks so crisp and clean, without it looking bad.  As for the Aliens strength/tail strength, I have always seen the Aliens as completely wiry muscle.  Like in Aliens(2nd) when the Alien tries to keep the doors of the APC open. Also like the limbs and tail of the face hugger.  Absolute wiry muscle.  Great clips.  Keep up the good work Darkness!  Many thanks!

The clips were great   :)    The tail was abit long but thats was a minor thing also, still loved it.  The special effects was smart ( the translucent effect of the preds ........ O YEAH)!    I wonder if will all get to see that special that was on HBO  viewed in quicktime? fingers crossed   :-\

hey i thought i'd explain how a 200 pound alien can lift a 400+ pound predator with its tail. the alien has an exoskeleton and if u look at earth creatures with exoskeletons (say ants or terminites) they are extremely strong for their size and can lift many times their own weight so the same could be applied to the alien

Agreed, the aliens have extreme strength as seen in Aliens when they smash through steel doors in the medical complex.  One on one with no gismo's the predator does not stand a chance against an alien.  It has no natural weapons apart from fists and power.

have u looked at celtics choice of foot wear, theres even blade type thing between the toes i think. i cant believe the detail in gill while hes cloaked. in p 1 & 2 i know thing didnt have the fc like we do these days but even so its looks so much better. i use to get annoyed when they didnt give the pred his preds when cloaked, only in certain shots can u see them while they are cloaked.

i like the fact the aliens tail is so strong. i like the idea of portraying them as such powerful beasts. makes them more menacing. this clip is one of the coolest things ive ever seen!

What ever it is its proving he is a true fan and doesnt want to mess anything up. From what Ive seen from this movie so far he did a great job.

The Xenomorphs tail is unrealistically long.  I thought it was gonna be the Queen.    The Predator cloak effects are ten time better though.   The Thermal Vision is not the same though, looks crappy.  Why oh why do all VS films have to have a face off part?

I like the Gill Predator's long blades because you can still see some of the blade.  The light refraction effect is not completely on and you can still see some of the details of the blade itself.

Good to see that PA didnt spare any alien and pred gore. The fact that slime is in the rating must mean its pretty intense.

Who said that the pred has a sword? look closely, see it yet? you can see that it is his wrist blades but he only has one ejected you can see the tip of the other side

Nope, I don't think so, they wouldn't be showing these "gory" clips if they weren't in. I don't think FOX is that stupid, that would really piss people off... read the rating again, it states: gory, violance etc etc. Pretty much everything we saw in those two clips. Nothing to be worried about like I've been saying forever now. R or PG-13, its still going to be the best Alien and Predator movie to date!!!

fish gill hasnt got a cannon, ***Spolier*** In the book it says the preds take lesser weapons, ie blades and spears. they only high tec weapon is that scar takes an net shooter which clips onto his arm, well it may not be scar but they dont actaully take the burners unless they change it 4the movie.One of the reasons they go after the humans is that they find they cannons they are allowed to use in the pyramid, its ment to be that they aint allowed to use them until the 1st alien kill *** Spoiler over***

It's a great clip, and I think this predator has two retractable swords, and his writs blades as well.  As he is bign turned around to face the Alien, does he have his plasma cannon attached to his shoulder, or is it a trophy dangling down his right shoulder blade.

also i kinda like gills mask the best. scars classic one is still cool but sometimes i see a shots of celtics mask and i think i dont liek it, then i see one and think its looks real creepy and cool.

As for the alien tail, its good to know that I am not the only one that thought that the alien tail was a bit long. It was a 10+ for me still, but I am no cookies, that guy just can't be pleased no matter what. No matter how much I see, it ain't gonna ruin it for me!!!!! So far, these two fight clips, although the first fight scene wasn't finished, was better than I imagined. In regards to the first fight clip, you want to know why it wasn't a final cut for real? when the alien jumps in the air and sticks his tail in the gorund and after the pred cuts his tail and looks at his blades (while the alien still on top of him), the next cut shows the alien infornt of the predator again to continue fighting. How did the alien get off of the pred? didn't show. I don't know, I may have all this wrong, but that tells me that Its not the final cut of that fight scene.

To those that wondered why the pred didn't do anything before he got killed off, and seem to complain that the scene made the pred look weak....ever stop to think that the alien tail paralyzed his ass?? I mean, it went through his back, I think the tail got some spine or some shit. That, and NO the pred does not have the shoulder cannon so it couldn't use that either. YES the pred had the sword looking thing but couldn't move because of what i just mentioned......

All this talk of Aliens suppose to be crap ... BULLSHIT!   I am a fan of Predators, yes BUT I love the Aliens just as well ( ok, I know I always badger the fans on it claiming the Preds are the best, but I both respect the spieces each)   I DON'T WANT THE PREDS TO GET AN EASY RIDE ON THIS, THEY HAVE TO WORK DAMN HARD TO   PROVE WHY THEY ARE THE BEST!  Aliens are strong, vicious, RAVENOUS,   INTELLIGENT beings that can never be fooled, I hate to admit it but they can be just as crafty as the Preds.   In the end I want THIS to be a GREAT match up, as with everyone else here, I DON'T WANT THE PREDS TO KILL EVERYSINGLE ALIEN AND NOT COME OFF SCARED THEMSELVES, it would take away the competitiveness out of it ...  ... f**king incredible.  I love everything about this clip except one thing, the wires holding sebastian off the ground.  Still this is the best piece of avp footage ive seen so far.  Im in love with this movie already :D

About the alien's tail being too long...........same thing here like that complaining about the pred being weak because he has a freaking RAZOR sharp tail penetrating his body through his BACK and making him paralized...........the tail in that scene does look damn long, but then again, look at the alien in alien 3. If you got the Alien 3 figure from McFarlane's Movie Maniacs 6, you'll see that his tail is pretty damn long too, and knowing McFarlane, he does shit right. So, if you think about that, it seems right afterall. Now if they show the alien pop out with a shorter tail in the next scene with that same alien, then there's something they messed up on. Now the question here to all of you nit picking at this marvelous movie is: are you there to make sure they are 100% logical about every aspect of the alien and predator or are you there to see some ass kickings being passed around??? thank you....  And funny there J, I haven't dissed Paul on the movie quality itself, the only time I was really upset was about that rating deal or thinking that he let FOX f**k up the movie somehow.........if i remember right, i'm sure i've gone off the edge here and there, but above all, what have I been saying about AVP all along? wait......you hear that??..............*ding*..........dropped the dime on me dawg! I know you didn't Dogman, I was only playing.   I just keep watching that fight clip over and over, MAN gets sweeter and sweeter ( I can't wait to see the final clip)   The camera shaking up and down of the struggle between the two.  Close ups of certain perspectives highlighting the inbetween moments.  If these are things that we will see then let the good times roll!     :) 

I was really afraid of the lightning turning out to be a problem on this movie, but it seems to be one of it's big qualities. The lightning is perfect and it shows us the creatures exactly the way we want to see them.  I also still admire the type of action that Paul Anderson is doing on this movie, where the action scenes seems to progress the story, and not some pointless action as seen in spiderman, matrix reloaded and other movies lately.  I can't stop watching it either!   ;D

Damn- tried to post this earlier, but the crap-slow server et the blimmin’ thing!  Aneyhhooooooooooo ….. here I am at work trying to catch up on all the posts.  Don’t know if any of the rest of you had noticed, but most sites have picked up and acknowledged the new clips – with one notable exception – our often negative/sarcastic buddies over at “AintItCoolNews”!  Maybe they are sitting awestruck – or maybe it’s that they don’t want to admit how friggin’ AWESOME these clips are  Muhhaaahaaahaaaahaa  What with the cancellation of the premier and stuff, I can’t help thinking that this might not be down to Paul ‘tweaking’ at all – it could actually be the best marketing ploy EVER devised – let me elucidate eruditely (hey – try saying that with a mouthful of cornflakes!) ……  1) Allow negative comments to circulate well in advance of the release date, causing fans to be up in arms, creating lots of stink and leaving us desperate for ANY news that the thing stands half a chance of being decent. 2) Don’t explain the PG13 (ditto result). 3) Don’t explain the lack of press screenings or the preview being cancelled (ditto result). 4) Release 2 KILLER clips just 4 days before the opening – that show we don’t need to worry about the PG13 and that the thing looks friggin’ AWESOME - suddenly generating HUGE waves of positiveness about the movie. 5) Cut out the Eggbert & Ropetricks of this world (film critics) by not allowing them to savage the thing before its opening weekend. 6) Let the web community and the press work themselves into a tizzy with all the rumours and gossip, generating WAY more publicity than the normal route would do on it’s own.     I mean – dunno about you – but I’m WAY more psyched about this than I was a week ago – so it’s worked on me!  So – this COULD be a genius move that’ll cover their costs in bums-on-seats in the first week – but WTF do I know!!!  Watdya think? - Later dudes.     ;)  

Just after we see seb in pred vision,we see lex with pred and seb in the background, wire hanging sebastian off the ground.  Has absolutley no effect on the films final quality whatsoever tho, if it wernt for this dam frame by frame feature on quicktime nobody would ever notice.

Paul Anderson did us AVP fans JUSTICE!!   I loved ALIEN for over a decade,  but I want to see the preds win, cause there more honorable, majestic hulking warriors, and are intelligent. I think a good scene for the movie would be if ONe PRED took on like a DOzen ALIENS !!!!! and kicked ass, but then died in battle cause the pred was young, foolish, and hasn't seen much battle!  then they show the broken tusk fight and his moves are swift and elligant, and kick ass !!!!1 I would be in heaven...   I have an 8 foot alien 3 prop in my house that would have been perfect for the movie...

Heavy Metal SPike:  I don't know if it was intentional or not, but that does seem to be what is happening as a result.  The only problem with that way of thinking is that it only applies to internet fans like us.  The average person doesn't know about these awesome clips and only sees that the movie is in trouble of not meeting its release date, which means (in their eyes) that's it's going to be half-assed and incomplete.  Unfortunetly, the truth is far from this.

I saw the clip, and just loved it!!!! Sanaa Lathan looks hot and tough and so does the rest of the cast. I may not see the movie opening day, but I'll see it the following day. This movie is going to be da bomb!!!

Paul Anderson should feel proud, I wouldn't blame him if   When the movie succeeds to say I TOLD YOUR ASSES SO!  THE GUY HAS SURELY GONE TO HELL AND BACK TRYING TO MAKE THIS MOVIE TO SATISFY ALL OF US, (especially with the time and money he had)   8)  

From some early posts, why do people say the preds armour arent that strong? THe pred that gets impaled doesnt have armour through its abdomen area like scar, so basically the tail just went through normal pred flesh, and not armour. Other than that, both scenes are just.....flawless, love the bit when celtic hamemrs the alien and throws him LOL. Anyways go PREDS!!! (aliens are still cool) and may AVP be a success.

I hope atleast one preds wins and theres a showdown with scar vs grid or the queen. Peace

Remember in Alien 3 were an aliens host was a dog and the alien had dog like figures, well maybe some aliens get a characterisic from their hosts.( i dont mean the aliens host has a larger dick.Lol) Maybe the alien got a tail bone characterisic from the host or the host had a large tail bone and that could be past down to the alien.(thats the bone inbetweeen your ass chicks, im not fag) lol. Or maybe that was grid and he has a longer tail than normal. These are my theaories.

i'm new to this kind of forum thingy, but i must really thank whoever posted the links to the clips here. the clips were totally AWESOME! i used to be a moderate AVP fan, but right now it's gonna be different. it changed my entire view of these 2 races! paul anderson really knows how to make nice films to fancinate the AVP fans.    :)  

After seeing this clip I know that alien vs predator is going to be absolutely amazing

It's a nice clip but a predator getting killed by one Alien thats not right usually predators are killed by tons of Aliens and heres another thing is elder predator really dead I've seen predators survive tails through the chest

Hey, I hope that the Gill pred already killed someone.  He has a trophy on his back if you notice it, a skull on a stick.  Crazy.  Hope he doesn't look bad-a$$ for nothing.  I agree with J saying that preds and the aliens should be equal.  I love the preds guys, but it kinda would have sucked if only aliens died. Then the movie should have been called Alien Killed by Predator.  Right.  So there needs to be somewhat of an equal playing field. The preds want a challenge.  So yeah, 2 days 2 go.  Damn.  I don't know what is up w/ the premiere cancellation though. I'll probably go to a movie theater some time later today to get movie tickets for Friday night, and I'll let you all know what I've heard about the time.  I may have said this before, but I will go.  O'YEah BTW, this face off cliff is right before the alien/celtic pred fight.  Celtic looks over cuz he heard something, and looks over to where his pred homie was, switches from scanning infrared, to whatever he sees the aliens w/, and see the alien.  Unlike the humans, when the pred sees the aliens, they appear green.  It looks cool. Than they throw-down. RARRR!!!!  O

Am glad you agree with me Baseman.  [bWE [/b] ( the audience) always needs to feel taken back, startled everytime. Of course am going to want the Preds rip open Alien cans all over but then I want the Aliens to show us why they are the most deadily spieces, thats what we've all come to expect, a grudge match up with both using their attributes to the max.   Paul Anderson seems to have known this so all we can have know is faith.
