It was clearly meant to be grabbing the tail, but due whatever reason they decided not to have the tail loop all the way around the neck.

I am usually one who spots these things a mile off - cleary not at my best! That said I still think it's quite the iconic design - very different to what we've had previously in this franchise (God I hate that word). That said I've always had a thing for mostly Red & Black in a Duotone style.

One thing is for sure that Red packaging will stick out a mile when sitting next to the other Alien films on my shelf.

At first I was pretty sure that the color change was also meant to represent a change in narrative and intension.
I was expecting the most uncompromising and brutal alien film to date.
(it's good and I like it but it's also relatively tame)

Won't be bothering with the digital release (silly to double dip when the disc will just come with a digital copy anyways), but I look forward to hearing if the bonus features are any good on this release.

Was the VHS format locked? I genuinely can't remember. Either way, like the Isolation cassette soundtrack, I love this. Really do enjoy the embracing of the retro formats for this.
