That last one is a mixed bag. I shot out the bullseye when my JROTC used to have a rifle team, but another girl kept hitting the target box instead of the target itself.

And now, the Sermon for today.

1. Always seek solid cover a.s.a.p. during a gunfight, it just might save your life. And don't poke your nose around the corner excessively or in the same spot, lest it should suddenly be removed from thine face.

2. Failure to maintain proper trigger discipline could have disastrous results.

KEEP YOUR FINGER OFF THE TRIGGER UNTIL YOU'RE READY TO FIRE.

LIFE IS BEAUTIFUL. BE RESPONSIBLE WITH YOUR WEAPON.

3. And lastly, gentlemen, never think you can't be outshot by a lady. By and large, they're far better shots than we are.

AMEN
Amen

It was the first practice, too, but that was only because we were allowed to shoot without a bulky glove or sling. The sling was supposed to keep your arm from moving, and the glove was supposed to keep your non-dominant hand in place. I shot worse with the assistance than without.

Cool.  :)

What caliber and distance did they have you shooting?

.22, at maybe 20 feet. I don't remember how big the room was.

Alas, it has happened.

Ruger has chambered its pc carbine in .40s&w.

It has also added an aluminum free-float handguard model in 9mm.

At the right angle, it's really taking after the old Russian ppsh.

Local Trouble

Did you buy one?

I give every new model of anything at least 2 years to have the kinks worked out before I invest.

But being chambered in .40 now, I may well give it a thought at some point.

Huggs

I'm honestly not sure how or what to feel about this.

Local Trouble

Ugly, but an 8-shot cylinder intrigues me if they can resolve the spacing problem between the chambers that afflicted the 1771.

Huggs

It's ugly alright.

I'm seeing a redhawk frame with lcr fluting on the cylinder. There's no meat left.

It's gotta be weight reduction for competition, but dayum. Some of us can lift and hold more than pencils for goodness sake. Weights what you want when you're shooting magnum rounds.

At least it's not scandium alloy I guess. The match champion filled these needs just fine. I just don't get the thinking here.

Local Trouble

Maybe you should sell your 1705 and pick one of them up.

Why sell perfection?

The dream has finally been realized.

I never thought I'd see the day.

Now to wait until they offer them in different finishes and in .357, .44, and 45-70.
