Title: AvP2 R-Rated Trailer!!!

Here it is! The moment we’ve been waiting for all year. The AvP2 R-Rated Trailer first made its way onto Youtube. Not sure how it got there. IGN then officially launched it at 1AM in perfect high quality. There’s even a HD version for you to download. The Official AvP-R Website also went live. (Only contains a link to IGN though).

The trailer lasts for 2 minutes and shows lots of amazing stuff. You can find 10 caps on the next page. You can find 80 HD Caps in the Gallery.

ok, the only way i am seeing it is because i am forwarding the thing, and it forwards head who knows how many seconds, but at least it lets 3 seconds running, and i am laughing at the pred bl;asting the two guys heads with his TWO shoulder cannons, glad to see that it doesn't look stupid, and i am still unhappy at the shoulder cannon hand held thing

Looks pretty exciting...more action packed and violent but even less respectful in some ways than the first AVP (the fact that it's on earth and not secluded from society like the last one was).  The Predalien seems pretty sweet but it's hard to say from a youtube trailer.  I'm really concerned that they're giving away all of the good action set pieces in this one trailer.  The whip is BITCHIN!

This is absolute directing perfection by the Strause Brothers.  I'm hoping that I'm right and it's actually better than the original.  Only time will tell I suppose, but there are no explicatives do this trailer justice.  I hope that those whiny turds that have been "demanding" answers from the Strause Brothers can finally shut up now.  I think that I'm going to take the week off and watch every single showing for the first week of release.

Oh shit!! We finally have it! It's taken an eternity of waiting but it's finally arrived! lol   :o    I'm lovin the wip and the dual plasma casters and it looks like he's squares off with a young queen, but I hope to God it's not a praetorian. lol I need to get a better look at the pred-alien to see if I like it the design.   So far, it looks like the aliens have been turned into mindless cannon fodder against one god-like, supernatural predator. Oh, how I hope I'm wrong. *sighs* Still, can't wait to see this epic, though.    ;)

I can't tell for certain, but one scene looks like the pred-alien is cloaked when penetrating a hapless victim's cranium. That would be just plain stupid and I'm sure the Strause Bros. know better than that. lol It's a technological achievment by the preds, not a natural ability that could be inherited genetically.    :D

It seems to be pretty cool. I can not find any right words. Congratulations!  At the end of the trailer handclapping can be heard. Is it a recorded ("stolen") trailer from the first exclusive showing the film, isn't it? That's why the trailer is on low quality I think. what do you think?

Wow...that was, how do I put this?... Underwhelming; especially after viewing some of the Strauses music videos.  The whole shakey cam b.s. really is a turn-off for me as a movie-watcher. That and is it just me, or does this look like it was shot for cheap? I mean, even though the youtube link has crappy resolution, you can still tell that the Strausses probably weren't working with 35 mm film cameras. It seems as if this entire film was shot on some guy's XL2.    Don't get me wrong, there were some cool things in the trailer, but the lower production values and jumpy camera work do raise some red flags.

There are some things that appear slightly over the top.  I've never been a fan of watching body parts fly apart in slow motion, but for the most part it looks okay.  The scene where the predalien nails the guy in the face with the headbite looks like its done where there is plastic drapery all over the place.  The predalien isn't invisible, he's just disguised from the camera.

Yeah, it would be nice for Paul Anderson to be have a bit part as a character in the movie and have him get his spine ripped out and skull mounted in a trophy case.  His movie is going to look like a giant milky bowel movement compared to the Strauss brothers version.

Well, as much as people are going to deny it, I remember when people were hyped at the original AvP trailer.  I remember how deflated many of the older fans were when they returned as well.  Its easy to snip together best bits of the movie in a trailer, but can the MOVIE maintain the momentum?

i just saw the trailer like 10 times and what i'm a bit worried is that... the movie seems a bit TOO much like the movie aliens. not that it's a bad thing but  ripley and newt ripoff is pushing it imo.    :-[

I have to say this trailer has me in awe. This was the first time a Predator/Alien film scared me since "ALIEN".   Where the Predalien headbites the guy with the drapes everywhere is the scene in the hospital (Im pretty confidant at that).  I have to say this is a nice change from AVP, it seems they tried to make up for what the last film had left out, and still had enough for the rest of the movie.  I really want to see the Christmas themed trailer. I plan on seeing this on the 26th, as to not miss out on Christmas.    ;)

Well, after seeing the hi-res trailers a gazillion times, I was wrong about the young queen/praetorian and of course the cloaked predalien. lol *breaths a sigh of relief*   :)    It's sooooooo much crisper and cleaner (and larger) than the youtube AVP2 version (which was of terrible quality).   ;)    I'm guessing that there were quite a few eggs and/or facehuggers in stasis on the pred ship. Which would make quite a bit of sense seeing as how there might be no appearance of the queen.  I'm REALLY liking the pred-alien design save for the dreadlocks. Why oh why would they decide to give it dreadlocks? I guess we're probably not getting a pred-alien queen. D'oh!    :D

I just hope the characters are not all flat. Killing off 2-D characters is good for the gore but If there are no characters that I get to like, then if makes all the gore pointless. A good deal of what made Alien scary was that you were afraid for the characters lives. Same thing with Predator. You don't see the predator for almost the whole movie yet it's the threat that the characters will die that made it so good; not so much the gore or and action. Trailer is amazing and I can't wait for more.

That was awesome, but the only problem I have is that. One, the Predator's cloak looks a bit too clear. Number two, the double plasma shot looks crappy when it decapitates the two guys.

I dunno if this was talked about before, but the budget concerns that was mentioned early on don't seem to be that big of a problem. I thought everything looked damn good when it came to the FX. Also I'm happy that I see a lot of "man in a suit" aliens than CGI ones.

Yep, a couple of hours later, the trailer is still good. I think the Brothers had no choice but to put a good trailer out with all the character deaths and other voilence. Given the bad vibe about AVP, if they put out an average trailer the film would have been dead in the water before it hit the theatres. Now all you good people can spread some positive words on this film

Low production values, deliberate darkness on the creature work, a focus on gore splatter over anything else, D-grade actors and a riduclous premise... this would be right at home as a "Sci-Fi Original" movie.

FINALLY IT CAME!    :o    THE BEST TRAILER EVER AND THE PREDATOR IS TOTALLY AWESOME AND BADASS   ;D    I like very much the predator white flashing eyes and all the weapons and stuff he use in it. The body hung upside down without skin is just as the first Predator movie that's f**king GREAT! You guys did notice when the plasma gun went hand held by bothe the Pred, shooting the alien off of the dude who gets acid on his face and at the end where the guy scream "f**k You". Oh and yes I agree, I would rather see "man in suit" aliens than CGI. Tom Woodruff Jr. does a great job and the movements are better than any CGI ever possible. Oh and it made clear that Wolf stabed Predalien with blades not knife, for all you dumb shits who said it was a knife, kidding.    :P

More thoughts, I'm almost upset that the trailer showed "too" much in the way of what happeneds to movie characters. I was thinking before that a girl has never been killed in a very gory or violent way on camera in any of the Alien or Predator movies ( if I'm wrong feel free to yell and I'm not counting the chestburster victim from Aliens.) and I would rather have seen that chick get disced to the wall in the movies because that would have blown my mind. I jumped up and like celebrated when I saw it happen. Oh well, just random thoughts, I cannot wait for christmas for multiple reasons now.

Good, god!   :o   I can't believe the animosity and hatred toward Anderson and the first film. Especially from predator fans. Quite a few of you are acting like rabid, bloodthirsty hyenas who are demanding vengence and blood shed for the "injustice" the first film allegedly delivered. Come on, guys. This is rediculously juvenile and your not representing yourself or the rest of us pred fans well (or intelligently).  I agree the first film wasn't perfect and he did make a few poor decisions, but Fox had given him a very hard time with his original vision. However, overall, it was still a very good film, imo. Especially considering the circumstances. Thankfully, Fox is finally waking up to how much us AVP fans love said franchise as is evident with what we've seen of AVP:R, so cut him some slack and lay off the disgusting, hyper smack talk... and the caps lock.    ;)    One more thing. Technically, neither side won in the first film. Save for Lex and the hybrid, everyone who participated in the event was slaughtered.

I don't think this will be an easy film to watch, and that's a good thing. When I was young, the Alien movies were truly terrifying to me. I came to an understanding that absolutely nobody was safe. I haven't felt that way since Alien 3. But now . . . now after seeing AVP-R's trailer, I think I'm going to be huddled in a corner with a bottle of beer and a soft pillow afterward.   I WILL be seeing this with my dad in December. You can count on it.

You can see where the earlier "slasher flick" comparisons come from now. Teens/Hawt 20 somethings running around, being picked off with hero kill shots... it's like Freddy Vs Jason... only this trailer is already better than that film   ;D    Watched it about 20 times now. It is indeed some kind of badass. They've done a massive switcharoo though. In AvP the Aliens minced the Predators. Now we've got 1 Predator mincing Aliens.  It's funny. In Alien the creature was "structual perfection" and quite capable by itself. In Aliens they diluted the creature and made it rely on overwhelming numbers. Meh.  I loved the glaive nailing that chick to the wall   :o

any one else think the chick in the car looking backwards was a ror ripley esc pose and look  hopfully this will turn out good and no  damp squid like avp there was a little too much shown in the clip for my liking as i feel ive seen the whole movie and they just cut out the set up of the slaughter scene,s

Predator's awesomeness is restored!  Im not going to jump right on the bandwagon because most people liked the original AVP trailer and look how that turned out.  Im glad that the violence is back, both these franchises required a fairly brutal amount of it. Some of the shots did look alittle shaky cam, which does hint back to the rumours that the budget wasn't enough, To really work the film needs good central characters. Like Arnies team, or the Aliens cast. They need to get that right as well as the creatures.

I love the trailer, but I agree it shows to much of what happens to the main characters.   :o   Also the Aliens are wicked but the way the pred killed those Aliens made it look like the Aliens  were powerless. One pred alone shouldn't be able to kill 2 Aliens at once. Also the 1st movie (AvP) may have been terrible but I liked the way those Aliens were designed in AvP 1. Especially the Queen.

OK, seen it a few times...  Though afraid to go against the incredible general feeling of extasis, I should point out that this is a trailer, therefore the movie may well be something else... Also, the acid burned guy twitching is over the top, and the Resident Evil Apocalypse ripoff scene is here after all...  So, before overestimating the movie from just one 2 minute trailer, we'll have to see the acting, pacing and overall alien and Predator behaviour...   A trailer, no matter how good it seems, is not the movie... Remember that...  I, personally, did not like Wolf hunting both humans and aliens...So much for my stealth approach theory... and it sure looks way too much for one Predator to do...  The handheld cannon is here, and there are continuity issues that this trailer raises...  we'll see how it unfolds for real in December...  Until then, I think it would be wise to maintain cool heads because we also saw good trailers for AVP, but the story depicted as well as character development left a lot to be desired, not to mention the fights' chorepgraphy...  The trailer looks good, bt I am more concerned about how the story and the tension builds and how it unfolds..not just a quick succession of the movie's greatest hits...which is all a trailer is about to spice up interest...and from the looks of it, it did it's job..  So, 4 more months to go...  ;)

I think the movie rocks. It really looks a lot better than AVP1. Both the brothers have done a great job. I have great hopes for this movie. I do believe that it is tough for one predator to take on all of them, but i also believe that nothing is impossible.

I'm calling AVP2 AVP1 for now on   ;)    but guys seriously, stop watching the trailer over and over again, don't juice the movie out before you see it.   I just hope FOX doesn't make all these new cool trailers showing more cool stuff. If they show the makings of AVP2 I'm not going to see it! I want to be surprised.   Guys I think AVP2 is going to be so cool it's going to make the franchise finally stand up again on it's own two feet.   It's going to show the world again that Aliens and Predators are still the best monsters in movie history and they are going to be here for a very VERY LONG TIME! f**k retirement, it's not over yet!!!   ;D

Though the trailer looks kick assed.. be cautious.. It all boils down to character and a plausible connected story with some continuity..  All the pretty explosions and blood can not save a movie.. even if you add tits to the mix.. if there are none of the aforementioned qualities to the movie.  Look at Star Wars Ep 1..   I want this to work more than anyone.. but i have been burned by the studios too many times to get my hopes up, just to be angry, battered, crushed and disappointed in the end.  Keeping fingers cautiously crossed.     :-\

Firstly, Praetorians suck. They just do. There's nothing they can do an ordinary Alien can't and they're at a disadvantage, if anything: they're not as fast, can't go up walls and jut make bigger targets.  Secondly, if it is one, the directors need to explain why none were seen in 'Aliens'.  Thridly, if it's a Queen, where are the other arms? We all saw Ripley's chestburster. It had a crown and two sets of arms.  Fourthly, those who are still going on about Anderson need to get a clue. Stop comparing these things. It either has got something to do with the first, thereby acknowledging it, or hasn't and therefore should not be compared.  Do you honestly think the guy is going to watch this and "kill himself", as so many of you appear to think? IM LOVIN IT!!!  But the predator sounds do not sound right. Not when cloaked and not the predator sound in the end of the trailer.  The sounds on the website www.avp-r.com are the correct ones.  I hope its just the trailer that has these new pred sounds.   Everything else was great!!!!

The trailer is pretty good. Im just worried whether the movie is going to be like the originals or an action flick filled with mindless gore. Im also worried about whether the aliens are put in the film as shit to scoop up or actuall threats to the predator. Well, cant do anything except wait for the movie to come out.

That really looked good all four times. I love the whip, but I wish they'd stop with the chicks behind Army weapons. Any way, looks like the Predator has a lot of people in his way throughout the movie! Double shoulder cannons, shurikens, whip and an alien in each hand. It doesn't get much better than that! Can't wait!

OOOOHHH!.I just got a great idea!.In predator:forever midnight,the preds have a gland called the kill gland,which creates a substance that makes the predators frenzie!.they keep this substance in check with a speical drug,otherwise there capable of going on mass killing sprees,unihilating any and all things in sight!.That whould be scary if the predalien has the kill gland!!   :o  .

I love seeing the PREDATOR kick those alien asses. Don't get me wrong i love the first two alien movies and ( not so much alien 3 and AR) and I love both Predator movies, but lets face it, the 1st AVP was too fake how that one alien killed two preds right off the bat and how Scar was snuck up on all the time. The preds are the hunters and have weapons and are smarter than aliens. The pred should kick their asses more. By the looks at this prievew it looks right with the pred kicking their asses. I LOVE IT!

here's what I think...A3 was a guy finding out that he had a cancer in his legs AR was that same guy finding out that he could never walk again AvP was Paul anderson breaking that guy's legs ensuring that he could never walk again and finaly Aliens vs Predator:Requiem is that guy being visited by Jesus and making him all better and now he's able to play football and run for hours on end!!!   ;)

hey, a couple things i noticed that i was curious if anyone else caught or knew anything about.  -first, in regards to the predator handling the two aliens at once, if you look low you can notice hes apparently pulling them up out of some water or something so maybe that has something to do with why they might be somewhat immobilized, maybe by something he may have done to the water just prior?  -second, im not sure if anyone else noticed this or not but just after the guy is impaled by the tail towards the end , if you watch it in frame by frame or in normal speed whatever, it appears that this may be some other possible hybrid or something, as it appears to have some sort of silicon looking webbing or mane that flares out around its neck when it's mouth opens.not too clear, but it doesnt appear to be the predalien as it doesnt show any glimpses of dreds in the picture and its mandibles wouldnt flare out that much?  Also if i recal one interview mentioned possibly multiple alien types, as well as the fact that the movie specs and bios sheet on the site even has 'hybrids' and 'predalien' listed as two seperate things altogether.   :o

I am a die hard fan of both franchises and I really have to be honest, the movie looks incredible cheap.  If fox had of just bit the bullet for avp 1 and set it on a distant planet in space (I mean that from a budget perspective) they would have given faith to the fans and thus, created new ones. The sad thing is that while this movie will undoubtadly be better than the first, its look its 'straight to dvd' like. Prominent evidence of no budget. So sad too given these movies are Fox's most recognised achievements.(star wars aside)   My fingers are still crossed however and believe me, with more promise than they were upon viewing the first trailer for the avp directed by Paul Anderson.  Later guys :-)

Overall, I really liked the trailer.  First rate.  I thought the atmosphere was spot on, and the violence and gore are a great sight to behold as opposed to the first AvP (no violence = lame.)  The only gripe that I have is that the blood looks incredibly fake.  Very obviously CG.  I hope that they add some better effects for this - otherwise, I guess I really won't mind.  Can't wait for December!

The budget is smaller then AVP but they did great things with smaller budgets back in the day {alien,aliens,predator2} Every alien/predator movie had different directors with different visions too. The brothers look to be spot on with me, but I would also like to have it dark and depressing {Fincher} style!

This'll be everything the first wasn't, you can already tell, I mean the trailer alone is R. This'll kick ass for sure, that whip was so sweet, the only thing I don't like about Wolf is the duckbill mask from Pred 2. And yeah Reiko does remind me of Ripley. I hope those scenes in the trailer with the military means a return to the  Alien(s) kind of battles, with the military being massacred. The Alien busting thru the window at that guy was awesome too. Can. Not. Wait. Till. Christmas

well...   ???  ...the newborn was more of a one-time deal...and it was emenslly powerful(my spellings screwed up today, sorry)but i still believe it wouldve been too risky to do anything else with the newborn seeing as its something spawned from the AR's peticular scneario...plus that movie did kinda suck..but i liked the new ending   ;D     ;D  on the uncut one...

I'll always be pissed they made AR with Ripley... I love how they ended it in A3... fans boo because they killed off Hicks, I thought that sucked too, but it set the mood Fincher style. I won't start on the newborn and AvP, that just sucked! So did that French director stepping in.
