Much prefer Covenant than Prometheus regarding cinematography and art design.

Thanks Ingwar, interesting find.

I'm the other way around. Preferred the Prometheus ship design over the boxy Covenant. The shuttle and cargo lifter was also very boxy and utilitarian, almost like something NASA might come up with, whereas the rover in Prometheus looked like it was designed by Lamborgini. But the designs do all fit in well within their respective settings though - fancy designs for a billionaires yacht, utilitarian designs for the dumbass colonists.

Also preferred the cinematography in Prometheus. Covenant certainly has it's moments but as Wayne Haag mentioned, there's also some average looking cinematography in there, which was most likely due to the much shorter shooting schedule, so understandable.

Covenant however does have superior creature designs, script and editing.

I always thought he did a great job in both movies.

Both Prometheus and Covenant look gorgeous. I just prefer Covenant look more, especially the colors and art design which looks heavy and solid reminding me of first Alien. But then again, as 8th mentioned, these are two different ships with two different purposes.

I myself lean more towards Prometheus in this regard. I've alwas been highly critical of the movie in general, but the cinematography was one of it's stronger features, no doubt about it.
