No problem. :)

I haven't read it yet because I wanted to read the novelization first. I did read a part that talks about the Oram chestburster and how they knew the incubation process was going to be fast. So it seems like that was done intentionally for a reason. I'll let you know more once I start digging into it deeper.

I really think the design was adjusted in Post-Production because the xeno in the movie looks different

To their detriment. The practicals all look better, even the Neo which I generally dislike. The practical suit is far superior. The CGI version, on the Neo,  is almost texture less and smooth. This, to me gives it an badly rendered game look.

Maybe I should concentrate a bit now...
How did I miss Shipard's art, I thought it was not posted  :-\

The art book is a thing of beauty! Even better than the one for Prometheus. I really like the practical xeno suit, and the practical neo looked pretty freaky.

I love that they included some of David's drawings. Shame there's no concepts for Shaw, though.

Bit of a Böcklin feel to this one. And very epic scale.

Would also love to see the work of the guys who worked on the earlier drafts. Some of Huante's stuff seems to stem from earlier versions of the script.

Look at the way they've rigging up this particular suit.

This was the radically advanced puppeteering rig they couldn't get the bugs worked out for in time, which I asked Conor O'Sullivan about on camera, for my Alien Day report.

They only had a certain number of weeks to not only design, but construct and test it. It wasn't enough. There were a small number of flaws they just didn't have tihe time to fix.

I'm guessing that all the shots we've seen of the Alien with these ultra-thin limbs were actually of this unused puppeteering rig, rather than whatever it was they went with. Can't say I'm a fan, given how thin those limbs look, but it apparently moved amazingly.

When I saw the movie, I felt disappointed with all the CGI (expecially the xenos) and such little focus on the creatures and "birthing" scenes. Seeing all those wonderful practical suits and creature effects makes me feel somehow sorry for the audience and think "all of this could have looked so much more real - thus better...".

This is amazing. I'm curious, should I buy the one you posted here, or should I do this one?: https://www.amazon.com/Alien-Covenant-Official-Collectors-Titan/dp/1785861921/ref=pd_sim_14_1?_encoding=UTF8&pd_rd_i=1785861921&pd_rd_r=5J9QJWGSKFGV5YEF8YHS&pd_rd_w=w8RWt&pd_rd_wg=LDpPq&psc=1&refRID=5J9QJWGSKFGV5YEF8YHS

Is there any significant difference between the two? I mean, I'll probably end up getting both eventually; but I'm still curious as to why they released two different behind-the-scenes books.
