It would be nice to get a definitive answer before the years out.

The fate of the third prequel depends on the success/fail of his Merlin movie :-X

Still Collating...

That'd be my guess too.

I wonder what Ridley Scott's favorite food might be, and how that influences his Alien movies ???

[cancerblack]

Pretty sure his favourite food is whiskey.

Huggs

Corporal Hicks

It shouldn't really. Scott doesn't need to prove himself, his directing is indubitable. Merlin also already had a completed script by the time he signed on to direct (same as The Martian) so his iffy yarn-spinning abilities shouldn't be an issue either. And if Merlin fails at the box office who's to say it wasn't the marketing teams fault? Or the writers, or simply the fact that wizards aren't in vogue at that point in time? Many factors to consider.

Ingwar

Yeah, it's easy to blame one person, director himself, but movie-making is teamwork.

Samhain13

We can blame them all then. I can dig that.

Yeah, but whatever the flaw in a movie is, the key people behind may reconsider whether it is a good idea or not to let the same film crew make a next one. Now don't get me wrong, since my previous post about Merlin is anything but serious, like many others in this thread.

You're right, but I'm having trouble to find out where a director is being blamed for anything, or I missed something  ???

I mean the third one.

Something, anything, a tweet even.

A chirp, a rumor, something on the bathroom wall. I need my Alien fix.
