Anyone remember the AvP2 wall calendar that was posted on our forums sometime early this year? The one that used the old AvP poster for it’s image. Well, guess what? It’s been updated:

As you can see, it shows off the extra tusks on the Predator’s mandibles plus some of the quills that ADI use to show age in Predators. Personally, I doubt it’s a correctly lit picture of the Predator though. You can view at a larger picture at calanders.com.

That’s not all though. An image of the back cover shows off some new, albeit small, stills from the film. Thanks to Ted Newman for the news.

I like how on the back cover the aliens look alot like James Camerons Aliens. The predator in my opinion still looks like rubber, but its stills and not the actual movie. Looks cool to me all around.

My first thought was that it's a dead Predator, but then I remembered the thing about the missing eye.  I don't like how the lower 'tusks' are bending forward. 'Predator 2' had it right, with them leading directly out from the same angle as the fangs.

I'm just afraid that the predator would that it would be just like avp... Yeah Stan Winston cant be beaten I guess... Come on I could make the original predator face! AnyONE CAN!!! Mostly

I know you can't see too much in that pic but the Predator... doesn't look so bad to me. Some of the pics show his forehead looking a bit too flat but the face isn't bad. It's not like the original but it looks more organic than Scar in AVP. At least this guy looks mean.

well i can tell you that the pred's face looks a lot better than the one from avp there's definitely a progress towards the ones from the originals my only concern is that shity ass yellow color but after all in the movie the light is much different plus it's raining and it's dark so the face will probably look cool

They have boned the Predator once again... The face looks awful, Why O Why cant ADI just copy Winstons Predator face?   Winston is the creature FX GURU!

Looks like a shot of the Predator in Simpsons there. Rubber shite.

The next time this website has an interview with the directors or anyone else of the production crew, they should ask, "why the hell don't you have Stan Winston?" They shouldn't have the excuse of he's more expensive. He's has done many films ,even these days, at a ultra low budget. He and his studio has done the three pyshcos' of "Wrong Turn" masks done at master standards when given just 458 hrs. He's was often called to save movies who were in production trouble. Predator being the most famous, he'd done the predator from scratch in 2 weeks. HIS way is the BEST way. And even when it's NOT entirely his way, he does it by the plain and simple RIGHT way.

I actually don't like it... None of it, the pics on the back personally look terrible, but I know they are just stills... The creatures, they just don't look right.

The ones on the right dont look that good(probably better in motion),love the top two in the midddle,ones on the left are O.K. but not my stile   ;D     ;D     ;D  .

It looks better than AVP, but it does not reach P2 level. I disagree about the "behind-the-scenes" shoul look rubber...Has anyone on his bookshelf the Stan Winston book "The Winston Effect"? There you can see the elder predator from P2 mask thak look more alive to me than any ADI creature I have ever seen,  and it is just on the studio, nobody wearing it!  The aliens look cool though, I think that the problem about "man on a suit" effect is that the pictures show too much. I hope they will look much better on the film.

MY WORD!!    ???   I really, REALLY DON'T UNDERSTAND O GET SOME OF YOU ??!!!!??   Psykorgasm : Why are you jugding so early on this still? are you so used to the first Predator movie ( which was great) that any other movie featuring a predator will simply be bad? I mean look at the detailing of THAT predator, the veins and marks giving it its definative look. THOSE STRETCH MARKS ... I mean come on man, give them a break.  As for the aliens .... they beautiful looking    :D   ADI have done a brilliant job this round. The pictures at the back are too small to really give strong attention too so no one really can judge well.

For all of you who are complaining about the Predator's yellow face, it's yellow because it's been acid burned to hell! The Strausses already explained this, they made him look like freaking Freddy Krueger to show just how many times he's fought against these things and came out alive, albeit scarred beyond recognition in the process. Personally though, I agree with everyone that Stan Winston should have been on this project, but at least these FIRST TIME directors (give them a break on that count, big shoes to fill), are making moves in the right direction by bringing back a slimmer Predator with sleeker armor, the goodies that we all loved from the classics like the Medi-Kit and so forth. They're fans, unlike all the other directors who claimed to be to put the fans at ease. These guys are passionate, just inexperienced, which is why they have included some, but not all the great qualities that could have made this movie great instead of good, IE, Stan Winston at least on the design, and argued for a budget that would have given us a Queen instead of having to write around it with the silly Predalien Queen idea. That by the way was not the Strausse's fault, budget constraints clearly kept them from including a Queen in this one so they had to make do, though personally I would have stopped filming until I had all the neccessary money to make this movie perfect for the fans!

his face doesn't look burned at to me and hes not missing a tusk, not sure about the eye. i think this is the opposite side thats not burnt.

i don't know if it's me or not, but doesn't the cover look like a disfigured mutated predalien with anorexia? it's also scary-ass creepy to me! the psps cover looks better than this....but thats one scary ass cover man!

I like the this image. Brings out the detail in the faces. The back of this calender is cool also. You can kind of get a good look at the profile of the Predalien. Im still nervous to see how the Predalien actually looks though. I want to see some detail, baby!

I'd love to have a calender with aliens and predators, but ADI's creatures just look so awful... Alien's head is so small and its neck so fn' fat!

I'm truly surprised no-one brought up the fact that the Alien is in the same footwear section of a shop that we see Wolf in in the trailers.  Yeah, brilliant Strause Bros. No K-Mart, but a sporting goods store! Such a difference!  FFS. From futuristic claustrophobic spaceships to sporting goods. What's next? Disney Land? AS A RIDE?

Definitely a couple of notches above the previous film's Predator, I like the detailing and it has a much more intimidating air about it, but I'm a bit concerned with the giant mandibles..

The pred is too yellow! the aliens have fat neck's. They should have used stan winston? if they could afford him, if not just copy the original's. It's not hard!  ADI u guys suck! big time!!!

Jeez these guys suck at designing predators. ITS SIMPLE!!!! Just give the predator a darker skin tone, heavier eyebrows, remove the stupid huge crown and hair, contacts, raise the mandibles close to the eyes, tusks, forehead shading, and bam you got it! This doesn't have anything. The only thing they brought back for the predator was the tiny tusks from P2 and the short dreadlocks.

The Aliens look supper cool. The Predator "NOT SO MUCH". I'm going to SHITE my pants if the Predator in AVP-R looks like the pathetic excuse for a predator in AVP!!!!!!!!!!!   >:(  ...........and  this is coming from a huge Predator fan.

zen,       it's no the predators fault he looks like sh!t looks. it's the piss poor job by the costume artists. look at the predator in the 1st film and all the different predators in the 2nd film, yet they have many differences they all look kick a$$, and not like a predator that looks like he had a keylime pie smashed in his face. you'll have my final thoughts (witch may change) after i've seen the movie.     ;D     ;D

I'm going to write a script.In it i'll have a predator home-planet(not THE home-world,,just a colonized planet).The aliens will be bad a$$ed,i'll have the originals and some of the toy versions.I'll put in at least 5 pred clans.I will find a way to get Adam Baldwin into the film to play Garber!.I'll introduce the karna.If i have to get down on my hands and knees and beg Stan Winsten to work on the preds i will!.The movie will be at least 107 minutes long.There will be 3 sets of music:During the pred scenes the music will be like that from PREDATOR,during the alien scenes the music will be like that from ALIEN,and during the other scenes completely new music!.It will be the most kick a$$ AVP film ever!!!!!   8)  .

I'll write my script after i get my omnibus' so i do'nt f**k some-thing up!   8)  .

Not sure what 2 think of it, im not a fan of yellow, but im just going 2 wait till the film comes out. I think the bros are going more by the original's than AVP  Rock On!

The Wolf isn't an elder just experienced..he's older than the predator's in P1 & P2 but younger than the elder predator in P2 & AVP. those predator's had greyish dreds if u remember. The Wolf's an elite predator!  p.s they should have had the smart disc rather than the shriken    ;D

The scence at the end of P2 in the ship was cool. If u look carefully there#s one pred that looks like celtic. And the elder predator is like the original pred plus his laser sight iz on his sholder cannon, which i thought was ace! haha. Wolf is defo better lookin than the avp preds, but yellow?  Rock On!

Wolf face looks great! I think he is just really old, almost like the elders. And if you people want to see original pred design just wait to see how the other preds will look like! WOLF IS NOT THE ONLY PREDATOR IN THE MOWIE !!!!!!!!!   8)
