That was one thing I liked about AvP99. The speargun would nail the Xenomorph bodies to the walls.

Incompletely forgot about the spear gun. How newbish of me.  :o

You could probably preorder it off ebay; there are usually some people who offer theirs up early.

Just pre-ordered the standard edition from Gamestop (with bonuses).  I was informed by the employee there that they were sold out of Collector's Editions already and no longer offering it.  I don't know if this applies to all stores in the USA or just the one I went to but anyone is interested in that, they shouldn't wait too much longer to try to pick it up.  Fyi

Yeah, the CE is sold out at Target and BestBuy as well.

How do you know? We never thought the Jockey was a suit either.
Because it was slang, just like Electronic Ball Breakers, but GBX are taking everything seriously.

Btw you don't know for sure if the Jockey is a suit since Prom is not in the canon.

Anyway just like Hicks, I like the design but I just don't like how they connected it to the movie referenced as "SHARP Sticks".

How do I break this to you gently? I'm one of the ones who thinks Prometheus is canon.  :P

I understand what your getting at though. I always thought he meant a weapon like a throwing knife or something. The design I think is bad ass and maybe they should have applied there weapons design ambitions to the aliens design instead.

Hudson mentions knives before he mentions sharp sticks, it was him being cocky rather than referencing an actual weapon imo

Agree on the design, surely they could have put it in the game without the need for such a tie-in?! still, looks fun to shoot already!

Hopefully it's like the javelin gun from Dead Space 2. Nail a xeno to a wall and shock his ass.

I've deleted all posts about Prometheus vs Canon. There's a topic, let's keep on it. Go to the Prometheus board to argue about that.

That marines mohawk haircut is what i will be using in game looks bad ass  8)(Interested to see this weapon in game)
Funny because I was about to post a derogatory comment about Mohawk haircut in military video games and how much I hate it and how awful it looks, especially that no one in Aliens had any extravagant haircut.

While I recognize that Hudsons remarks arent much more than bravado. Its not unusual for soldiers to have their own nicknames for some of the equipment they use. I think Gearbox was expanding on the idea, by bringing the 2 together.

The "Sharp sticks" in Hudsons context was meant as more of a melee weapon, I make this assumption based on its pairing with knives. Its probably some sort of cattle prod in a literal sense. Atleast that is what I always assumed.

Gearbox seems to have designated it as a type of ammunition. Which makes more sense than it just being a gun, gun type etc. SHARP (Gun) Sticks (Ammunition, that sticks in things).

Should be fun for setting up traps.
