This was one of my favorite aspects of the film. I thought it blended music from Aliens/Predator quite well. I even went as far as to buy the soundtrack - still haven't got the film! Almost brought it today though! - I was wondering what you guys thought?
Well, I surprised some of what was in the movie wasn't on the CD or was extremely different from the CD Track. (Isn't that the case half the time?)

You havent got the film yet :o
Nope. I never brought it. I intend to though. It's just a matter of when. :P
I think the score was excellent... IMO it fits well with both styles of scores for both aliens and predator franchises. Aliens being more tense and eerie, while predator seemed to have a more action-tribal vibe.
Yes, the score is great and I also bought the cd!
I never understood why they didn't ever say anything about Harald Kloser's score in the making ofs, featurettes or interviews?
I think most people don't realize that AVP was put together in essentially less than a year...
so everything was rushed, and I'm impressed that the score/movie was as great as they were (IMHO)
so, i'm not surprised that the score or Harold Kloser were glossed over.
I wanna see some of the original ALIEN and PREDATOR movies score in AVP2, yeah AVP2 should have its own score but it would be nice to see the original movies music used somewere in the film.
I hated AvP's score. The only part of the score I liked is when Grid impaled Chopper with his tail, the first pred, and killed him.

I agree on hating most of it. (I like when it is very subtle) That part though makes the least sense!!!!
